SVR IS MINE

Unbelievable...it's all over.  I had my six month post tx PCR drawn last week.

I got the news today.

UND.

I can't believe it....for the last eighteen months (from the day I found out i had acute HEP C) until now-----From that time on i had NINE courses of antibiotics, took 18 pills per day, got pneumonia, costocondritis, four or five ear infections, two skin infections, cellulities, developed a 1 cm. kidney stone and hydronephrosis.....PASSED that big kidney stone, vomited nearly every day, lost a third of my hair, lost my JOB, had some hearing loss, itched like crazy, vomited some more, bled from the bootie,  developed post tx autoimmune disease that still is on an upward trend, and so much more.......

and I can't believe i'm about to say this.............but it was worth it.

congratulations; wonderful news; I know the feeling as I got SVR news at 6 mos as well.  This July will be one year since I stopped the interf & rib.  I kept a journal and reflect back on it on occasion as time does erase some things. Very eye opening to read.  I do not and will not take any day for granted OR for feeling good.  I remember seeing some of your posts when I was treating; did you treat for the 1 year or more? I had Geno 2b, so my course was 6 months and it was not fun; cannot imagine the longer time. Best wishes to you!!

Great news my fellow Nevadan. God has certainly planned more time on this earth for you. You can now get your liver back to normal, then realize you've been given a second chance and make the best of it.

Start out by taking a nice two week healing vacation in Fiji, Ixtapa or Tahiti. (Hawaii is too crowded). Lay on the beach, soak up the fresh air and sun, rest and come back with your batteries charged. And if you're not married, maybe you can find a male guide to show you around the island just so you won't get lost. Let us know how the beaches are.... So so so so so so happy for you....
