Starting Sofosbuvir GS 5885

Hi, I tried Teleprevir last year and failed. The Institute called me last week to see if I wanted to be in this new study for Sofosbuvir GS 5885. I have not been able to get much info on the net except from the Drug Co.
They have one slot open and I need to be there tomorrow for my bloodwork and EKG. Is there anyone on Med Help that is in this trial or anyone with any info that would help me make this decision. I was so dis-hearted when I could not stay in the Teleprevir study. It is Phase 3, either 12 or 24 weeks and either with or w/o Riba.  It starts next week. Thanks for any info. Reen

OMG just realized I said I was 30 days off in previous post....NOT...I will be 3 months off next Monday. I am starting to be very happy. I really have been feeling good, almost forgot what it feels like to feel so good..ha.
Anyway I think if if am still UND at 3 months...then I can start allowing myself to think SVR.

Even if you do not get the results; as I didn't. Your trial doctor can usually tell you from your other bloodwork results like your enzymes.

I am on ION 2. Sof_+5885+RBV..we don't get results.. but we are told to come back...so we are told if we are undetected by them telling us we need to come back..otherwise they call and tell us our scheduled appointment??

You are so lucky to be done though!!   Undetected and done!  Now on to SVR.   I was 1B and have 12 more weeks..what were you and how long did you do?  Enjoy your undetected and finally being done!!

maybe his trial (SOF+RBV) is different than my trial (SOF+LDV+/-RBV aka ION2 -- is that what you are, too?) where it is my impression that post-Tx VLs are not revealed. I never heard about my EOT+4 VL results, only routine blood tests, which is why I made a good argument to my family physician who was not affiliated with ION2 as to why he should order up a VL test for me at EOT+6, based on what I saw from my routine bloodwork at EOT+4.

THAT IS WONDERFUL!!!   You are very lucky to get your results after EOT.  I have been told the clinic does not get them from here on once you finish it is blinded to us and the clinic..but you get a letter asking you to come back to get a repeat test..I know some clinics get the results..go figure..but one big congratulations..  You now have a healthy liver!!  Enjoy new quality of life now...
