Happy to report!

I got my 24 week result, still UND and all bloodwork stable.!  Even though I got to do the 48 which now that the incivek is long gone, it seems, really not that much more since Im starting week 26 tonight, April 15th is right around the corner.   I am glad that for the rest of treatment I get to cover my self up some.  and wearing hats for scraggly head will be no big deal  its going down to the 40's tonight!
Thanks to all my friends here, you are truly the ones who continually encourage  me to tuff it out!!  and it has been tuff,  But Im still running  the race to beat this dragon down!

Thanks for clearing that up for me, I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can do only the 24 week program.  I wait to treat in February until August hoping the new triple treatment would help cut my treatment time in half.  So far the blood work is supporting that treatment is working.

Always a bit of a relief to see those und's when you look at your results.  Glad to hear things are going well for you and your cbc's have stabilized.  I'm another 48 weeker and just a few weeks ahead of you, so we can do this.  You're right, April will be here before you know it.

If you are treatment naive or a prior relapsers, UND at 4 and 12 weeks (less than 10 IU/ml) then treatment can be shortened to a total of 24 weeks.  If you area partial responder or prior null responder then you've signed up for 48 weeks of treatment.  Hope this helps.

Patients with undetectable HCV RNA at weeks 4 and 12 (eRVR) can complete their total treatment duration in 24 weeks

Treatment-naïve patients with cirrhosis who have eRVR may benefit from a total treatment duration of 48 weeks

Patients with detectable HCV RNA at either Week 4 or Week 12 will require total treatment duration of 48 weeks

I was wondering if those who are talking about 48 weeks of treatment can help me with this.  I thought Incivek was suppose to lower treatment from 24 weeks from 48 weeks?  Did I misunderstand that?  I have less a week less with Incivek, but I thought I was done after 24 weeks, that is why I'm confused with all the 48 week talk.  I was dx with genotype 1b and was UND after 4 weeks and my doctor expects me to be UND after 12 weeks also.

Any helps is certainly appreciated.  It will be tough knowing I thought I was 50% finished only to find out that isn't true.

Thanks in Advance for your help.

you are so awesome!!  i'm glad to hear you're still UND.  sorry you have to go 48 but you want to slay that dragon.  i just did shot 20 and at week 24 i'll be told if i stop or go the 48.  it's been fairly mild except for the riba rash (it's just irritating).  i wish you mild sx.  take care.  belle
