Stick with treatment, you are so close. Glad to hear you are doing something for yourself during treatment and going to school!  Kudos to your doctor for being flexible and helping you with refills, nice to hear.

Good luck!

Yes I attend college two nights a week and work full time at a doctors office! My boss is not aware that I am sick and some days that is really hard but I have made it with pretty much no symptoms other then itching a few leg pains. I have noticed my hair looks really thin lately so I am going to blame that on treatment as well.

Genotype 3 can be tricky, I would not risk such a fast response by not finishing treatment............ Good luck

Monthly visits?
You only have 3 weeks to go to 24 weeks right?
Undetectable by week 4. shot 21. Genotype 3.

I am confused???

If they want to play hardball and you don't want to tell them you are being treated. If your company has more than 50 employees. Talk to your HR person. Make it all sound generic. It is your private medical info depending on where you live you can tell them the minimum. You can get a note from your treating doctor saying 'you are under their care and that you have to been seen for follow up'. It is the law !!!

I did this here in California during treatment, blood draws, MRIs, doctor visits whatever. You can take it by the hour until it adds up to 12 working weeks of time. If you get too ill from treatment you can take the time off to be sick.

The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides certain employees with up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year. It also requires that their group health benefits be maintained during the leave.

FMLA is designed to help employees balance their work and family responsibilities by allowing them to take reasonable unpaid leave for certain family and medical reasons. It also seeks to accommodate the legitimate interests of employers and promote equal employment opportunity for men and women.

****FMLA applies to all public agencies, all public and private elementary and secondary schools, and companies with 50 or more employees.***

These employers must provide an eligible employee with up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave each year for any of the following reasons:

for the birth and care of the newborn child of an employee;
for placement with the employee of a child for adoption or foster care;
to care for an immediate family member (spouse, child, or parent) with a serious health condition; or
****to take medical leave when the employee is unable to work because of a serious health condition.****

Employees are eligible for leave if they have worked for their employer at least 12 months, at least 1,250 hours over the past 12 months, and work at a location where the company employs 50 or more employees within 75 miles. Whether an employee has worked the minimum 1,250 hours of service is determined according to FLSA principles for determining compensable hours or work.

Good luck!

It's difficult to give advice on how to proceed since we really don't know of all the issue that are currently on your plate.  I'm sure there are many or you wouldn't be considering stopping trt.  Since you only have 3 shots left, you should make all efforts towards finishing trt, with the hopes that you'll never have to do this again.  Its hard to tell from your post if acquiring the last 3 weeks of interferon is an issue.  If so, see if your doctor can assist in locating this amount to finish trt.  They should be able to help with this or contact Pegasist if there's enough time.  Try to hang in there.  It's a personal decision to tell your employer, since its so hard to tell how they will react.  Good luck to you.

Wow you are going to school and working while treating? Good for you :)
You have found a way to make things work this far - there has to be a way around this.  When exactly was your last visit and when was your last set of labs?  If it has been over a month then I think you ought to try and find a way to make the appointment.

Trust me I think we all understand what a hassle follow up visits are especially if things are going OK. My doctor's office always runs late and I would have to wait and average of 30 minutes before I am seen. All in all the visit with the labs and transportation could take up to three hours. I will be honest I had labs once a week but I cancelled more doctor appointments than I care to admit.

If everything is OK I would ask for the refills and schedule something later in the month - closer to the end of treatment. *But that really depends on when you were last seen and what all happens during your appointments.  Hopefully this treatment is a once in a life kind of thing for you and when you are done you can get on with your life and close this chapter. It might be worth juggling in some other area to make this appointment work (as well as your EOT labs).

Let us know how things work out
Best of luck♫
