Started treatment today

I  Started treatment with Incivek today. I did the IFN/RBV treatment twice, relapsed both times. This should be interesting but I hope not too interesting! Hoping for the best.
I am glad to have found this forum.

Beerless: You asked me about the anal itching. I was on peg & riba twice (2003 & 2009) and my butt didn't itch. The Incivek is a whole other story. Fortunately, and per my doctor's advice, I eliminated the anal itching by bumping up the fat consumed when taking the Incivek.

No, the anal itching seems to be special to those doing triple tx.
I'm on peg, riba and my bottom's just fine.

Here's a little known fact to help you. Increasing your fat intake when you take Incivek will help your body absorb the drug and reduce anal itching. The guidelines say 20 grams of fat, but more is better. I'm in treatment week#19 (Incivek for first 12 weeks). Good Luck!

Hi and welcome Mike:) I am pretty new too..I did my 2nd shot last night. I am also on the triple therapy. Good luck with this wonderful new treatment. Hopefully we can both get a nice EVR and have it lead to a forever SVR!
