Bottom herpes??

Hi community members.

I would like ro ask a question as im a little worried :(
May I just start by saying I am an absolute hypocondriac so may possibly be over reacting here but would dearly love some advice.

On Friday night I had protected sex with my bf (I have never not had protected sex). To  both of our knowledge neither of us have hsv and we have been std tested but I did not realise this does not include herpes. I had a good look at him 'down there' and there was no liasons or anything of the sort.

Anyway on Saturday morning I woke up with an uncomfortable feeling on my bottom. I had a look later on and right on the rim of my anus the skin was red and there looked to be a small swollen bump. I stretched out the skin to have a good look and there wasn't a blister just a small bump right on the rim of my anus. The rest of my genitals and vagina are totally normal. The bump doesn't itch or tingle and as the day has progressed it has stopped hurting when I touch it. I wouldnt notice it was there now if I wasn''t obsessivly checking.

Anyway I was wondering if this sounded like herpes? I have had nothing previously and the tiny bump appeared less than 12 hours after protected sex on the rim of my anus with no burning or itching etc.
What are the chances of getting a herpes sore on your anus? Is this probably just a cut or hemmoriod and I am over reacting here?
Im really worried so some input would be great.
Thanks :)

Your symptoms were way too soon for herpes if experienced the morning after. The earliest would be 2 days (mine was 5 days after).

Sounds like a run of the mill irritation or bump (think about the random bumps/pimples we get anywhere on our body) - even irritation from sex, and you're paying a good bit too much attention to it perhaps :-)

But, if it's bothering you, be seen. And while you're at it, why don't you and your partner both get tested to know your herpes status?

Does not seem like herpes at all. . All we can say still is to be seen for a proper work up.

Hi Mistake guy/community

Thanks again for answering! I really appreciate it
I just have one more quick question. Because I am a massive worrier I had to have another look and poke round at it.
Far to much info here I know, but after I had a bowel movement I was able to wipe the area pain free. I then decided I wanted to see if it would pop, when I reached to to grab it, it wasn't a blister at all. I seemed to be a lump of excess skin. I could grab what I thought to be a blister in my fingers and pull it right out from my anus and it just streched out in a long layer of skin.

I will go to my doctor but for the record, which these new bizzare symptoms does it sound like herpes? Does herpes seem to involve a strange amount of excess skin that can seemingly be stretched out?

I will go to the doctor but just wanted to prepare myself first. This is bizzare and scaring me alot!

Typically herpes will show up with pain itch/burn.  The best thing to do is be seen for a work up.  Also you should both consider a type specific igg test.

I can't speculate on what this could be because there are a lot of things it could hence why i suggest the proper work up.  Having your provider look you over can shed a lot of light on what this could be.

Thanks mistake guy. I forgot to mention in my post as this isn't the first time we have had sex. We have been together a while.
If it were herpes would it itch/burn or hurt? And would it come up in a cluster of blisters and also likely be on my vagina?
It doesnt bother me at all now, hurt for a few hours but now its just a strange lump right on the rim that scaring me :( I can touch it with no pain and have bowel movements fine.
Ive never had anal sex with him.

What do you think it could be? Sorry to question you, im just scared.

This wouldn't be herpes as it doesn't come on that fast.  Be seen for a proper work up
