Discomfort in head of penis

I have discomfort in the head of my penis and sometimes just behind the rim of the penis and the underside. I recently had protected deep throat oral and protected vaginal sex. The head of my penis has been tingaling or sensitive for almost a week. It started about 3 hrs after the sex. Intermitent discomfort comes and goes. No discharge. Does not hurt to urinate, but I always seem like I need to go to the bathroom. There does appear to be a small bruise about 7 mm long along the one side of the rim of the penis

pain for a week is a reason to go and be seen.

Even the oral sex was protected. The pain discomfort is bearable, and it comes and goes. When I am wearing clothes it is noticeable, but seems to disappear when sleeping naked. Touching just below the head on the underside of the penis seems to relieve the pain.

many things it's more likely to be than herpes.  You had oral sex unprotected too.  oral sex can transmit std's .

I am baffled at what could be wrong as I was wearing a condom. What else could I have possibly have caught. Would it be early stages of herpes?

you need to go and be seen and get a work up started.
