Herpes Scare, Need advice!

I am 21 and I had unprotected “sex” (my partner did not cum, but there was still a lot of contact/friction) 7 days ago. Everything felt fine Saturday and Sunday. Monday I woke up with itching, some pain, and a lot of yellowish discharge from my vagina. I also developed a sore throat. Then I noticed a red bump on my labia minora that resembled more of a pimple with a small white center. I went to a gynecologist and she told me that she did not think it was genital herpes, and performed an in-office test for a yeast infection and said that is what it was. She gave me a creme and suppository to use. I have used it for 2 days now and the itching has gone away and maybe some of the discharge (i can not really tell because as of today I started my period as well). Now I am noticing many more red bumps on my pelvis area where pubic hair grows. (the bumps are not small like I have seen in pictures, but a little larger in diameter). I have read that herpes will not form where hair grows, is this true? I am truly stressing out and would really appreciate any advice or diagnosis on my situation.

your description of things doesn't sound like herpes. going to be seen is the best course of action.

have you and your partner discussed std's and testing and such?

did you have actual sex or just outercourse?

There are now more spots coming up like red bumps, but they are bigger in diameter and are not in clusters. There are now like 5 and they randomly show up. (one on back of my thigh, another on my left side where pelvis meets thigh, etc.) I am seeing my doctor hopefully tomorrow but have been stressing over this all weekend. A couple bumps that have come up have scabbed over like I have been reading on herpes info pages however I don’t remember seeing them blister..

Herpes doesn't typically show up where their is a hair.  This does sound more like a yeast infection.  Though I would say be seen for another work up.  If your doctor feels it is herpes they can perform a swab culture and typing.

Ejaculation means nothing for STD's.  I would say also you and your partner should be tested to find out your own status.  Though if you test now and should he be positive you need to retest 3 months after your last sexual encounter for an accurate test.
