Possible herpes

Hi doctor,
First I would like to compliment the website on informative and expert advice. Im a 26 year old male and Over 10 months ago I had protected vaginal sex with a prostitute. Ever since this encounter I have being experiencing pain in my anal region while going to the toilet on occasions. The pain lasts around two days and is usually commenced with itching. Presently Im experiencing general muscle aches in my buttocks. Ive had full STD tests 6,12 and 18 months after my experience and everything has come back negative including a type specific blood test for herpes. Ive had my anus examined by a std expert and he could find nothing. However since the encounter ive been experiencing frequent flu like symptoms pain in the anal region, and general unmell feeling. Im just enquiring do you think the tests could of missed something or what do you think could the problems be from? any help would be greatly appreciated.

your symptoms don't sound like they are herpes related.

yeas grace Ive had it examined by the doctor who could find nothing wrong. Im worried that the herpes test could of missed something as my symptoms are similar to herpes symptoms. They only thing is the pain lasts only 2 days or so, 3 at the most. Would this be two short for herpes? Could you give me any advice on what to do next?

odds are this isn't a std going on. have they done a manual exam of your anus to see if they could feel any hemorrhoids?
