Hi - thanks! We try to keep a balance between offering specific forums and providing communities that are active. If there are rare or less common conditions that have an active user base here, I'm sure the community organizer would consider creating a separate community for it. Have you noticed any specific subgroups that are particularly active?
Yes...the Adrenal Insufficiency forum needs to be separated into Addison's (Primary) and Secondary AI (SAI). Or users need to be specific on what type of disease they have. Primary is a problem with the Adrenal gland, while SAI is a problem of the pituitary gland.
Hi - we do have a separate community for Addison's:

If that's not what you're asking for, please let us know.
Hi there -
You can add tags to your group so there is a better chance your group will show in the related communities and in searches. Here's the link to that area in your user group:

Some tags could be Sweating Disorders, Rare Diseases, Neurology, Excessive Sweating.
Let us know if you need any assistance.

No...I'm saying add Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency (SAI), which is a different disease then Addison's, and it's no where to be found on this forum.
Thanks for your suggestion, Foggy2 -- I'll pass this on to the folks who make such things happen.
Right now, SAI threads would be appropriate in both the Adrenal Insufficiency and Pituitary/Brain Tumor communities. While our managers explore the possibility of a opening a new community, you might want to consider starting a user group so that you can get the focus you're looking for right now. These groups are moderated by their creators; they can be made public or private, and take a couple minutes to set up. You can find out more here:

Yes, I know that there's tags for user groups. However, this would only bring relevant user groups to a user if he/she using the search box. It seems to me that many users click on forums and then scroll down until they see something that gets their attention. And the issue is that only the top 20 user groups are displayed on the forums page. And they are at the very bottom, below health forums and ask a doctor/expert.
Hi - thanks! I'll be sure to pass this additional feedback on to the staff that make these decisions.
Yes, that's true, but if you are doing a search on the site for excessive sweating, for example, and that was one of your tags, your group would come up in that search. Right now, it doesn't.
If you go to the top right corner of the page, and search "sweating", you can see that Forums and Groups will appear in the search (they do in every search). These don't apply just for searching for user groups, but for the whole site.
I hope that helps. If you need assistance in developing your group, please feel free to let me know.
