Menapause and seizures

by Eileen104, Mar 01, 2008 11:44AM
I recently had a series of seizures and was put on seizure medicine.  I could not sleep, I tried ambien and all the rest including adavan.  nothing worked.  after some blood work my pmc said I was going through menapause.  Well shortly there after my nerologist said i had a toxic amount of topomax (topamax) in my system.  he changed my meds, I still dont sleep yet but my aggitation has subsided.  could it be the medication that caused my hormones to go off balance and look like menapause?  I am 50 years old so i am at the right age but it is suspicious that this all started at the same time as the seizures.  Anyone???
