What type of progesteron is best for me?

Hi,

I am a 52 year old female with ovarian cysts on both ovaries. The right is small and shrinking from last year.
The left is approx 4.5 cm and has grown in size from last year.  A diagnosis of endometrosis is also there.
I also have a small cyst on my right breast.

I have no children, and a family history of ovarian cancer (mom). And rectal cancer (my aunt on my dads side).
I have chronic IBS, Fibromaylsia, bad headaches, and hot flashes & night sweats along with unrestful sleep.

I have had 2 surgeries in the past: 1 for cyst on right ovary, and one for spincterotomy and anaplasty.
I do not wish to undergo any more surgeries, if I can.

I don't get the kind of sleep that I need. I fall asleep Ok but then after an hour or so. It starts, hot flashes,
leg pains. I get drenched, need to change clothing, then get the chills. I try to go back to sleep but it is never the
deep sleep. And I repeat the above all night long.

My doc. was reluctant to prescribe progesterone because of the cycts. I have had MRI, and in her estimation
of the 2 ovaries my condition is stable, not worse. I have also had the HE4 blood test and CA125 and both
are negative for cancer protiens.

She has agreed to give me a prescription for progesteron low dose, the name Prometrium 100 mg caps.

Is this the best solution for my menopausal hot flashes/sweats and sleepless nights or is there something
with less side effects out there?
