blood after sex

going through menopose ,after sex there is spots of blood ,also i think i have shrunk down there  is that normal  irene

A lot of women have spotting after intercourse.  Most of the time, it's nothing to be concerned about.  After menopause, the vaginal walls thin out and dry out more so, there's often more of a chance of injury/cracking/tearing to and in the vaginal walls which can cause bleeding during intercourse.  

If you are not getting spotting any other time but, during intercourse, try using a vaginal lubricant.  There are the everyday ones like KY Jelly and then, there are the long lasting ones (inserted every 2 to 3 days) like Replens.  

However, having said that, if those don't work, you may need a vaginal cream that can only be prescribed by your doc.   And, in all reality, any form of bleeding after menopause should be at least run past a doctor just to be on the safe side.  More often than not though, it's due to vaginal atrophy when this type of problem crops up but, better to be safe and check with your doc who may want to do a quick exam and just see what state things are in.
