New Rheumy bombed before I even met him

Hey folks.  Ever have an MD (one who requires $75 if you cancel without giving 48 hours' notice) cancel your appointment with him at virtually the last minute (after you've waited weeks for your scheduled appointment with him)?

My wuddda-been-new-rheumy did just that.  Didn't even get to meet him.  He was highly rated too.  

When I tried to reschedule with him, got a strange response from his staff - kept being put on hold - was told they'd have to talk to him first before rescheduling me.  Was totally bizzarre.  Eventually, I found out he would not see me because he did not wish to have to interface with my new PMD.

Can you imagine such childishness among MDs?  Forget caring about meeting patient need!

How extremely disappointing--unbelievable! Never heard of that before (but it doesn't surprise me--some doctors really hate each other).

Wow! I don't even know what to say except I thought you had to be out of Junior high to become a doctor.  How childish.

Oh, Weak...that is horrible! I agree, it is childish. If only you could charge him $75 for cancelling without 48 hours notice!

In my earlier post I used initials some might not be familiar with:  "PMD" means
"primary medical doctor."  In other words, your primary physician.
