3rd neuro-opthalmology appt

The doctor told me his good byes today. :-(
Said I should continue with the doc that gave me my second opinion because she is more MS familiar and knows more people.

She is nice too though so I'm not too sad. Plus he said if she is ever out while I need a doc that it would be his privilege to see me.

He told me that I am to baby myself next time I have a relapse.

I did ask what "type" of MS I had and he said Relapsing Remitting. For those who were asking me... Now we know.

He said they are 60% of the way to finding a cure. He said that he probably wont see it in his lifetime but that I probably should.

I also got my MRI pics. Once I figure out how, I will put some up.

And they checked the status of my Copaxone for me and it should be here in two weeks.

He said I looked better and said it's hard dealing with people who just think you are depressed. But he knows I have a history of depression so still sees the point in me being on some anti-depressant.

That is why I'm sad he wont be my doc anymore. He was so nice, understanding and listened. But I'm sure the other doctor will be too. I've heard great things about her. Some like her even better. And the one time I seen her she seemed pretty cool.

I also have gained 7 1/2 pounds! Trying to get back my weight. Because of all that vertigo I lost a lot of weight from not having an appetite and throwing up everyday.

I love a good story that involves a smart, compassionate, empathetic doctor.  Thanks for sharing that - you are so fortunate that this doctor knows his limits and doesn't let his ego get in the way of your care.

be well, Lulu
