hey Dennis,I am on vacation and just passing through here but I saw your note and wanted to let you know I saw you message. I hope this neuro is serious about checking out your MS connections and is thorough with all the tests.
I'll be back next week - stay in touch, ok?
Good luck with the LP and the knee surgery if I don't talk to you before then.
my best,
Lulu
This is the same Neuro I have been seeing at the VA and he seems to be very interested into getting to the bottom of my problems. You could almost see his ears perk up when I mentioned the MS of my niece and cousin in addition to my father. He is also trying to get my pain under control, but without any results so far.
I think right now I am between flares so am doing a little better cognitively. Good thing too as I ended up spending the whole day again today at the VA. When I woke up this morning my left foot was itching like crazy and there was a large blister between my toes (next to the big one) on my left foot. While I was on my feet quite a while yesterday (with my left knee aching a lot) the doctor that saw me feels I was probably bitten by a spider vs from the long time on my feet. So now I have more Meds to do every day and have to watch my foot to make sure it doesn't turn black.
Of course while I was up at the VA I got a call at home from the VA. It was the rehab clinic calling to have me come in for a fit for crutches and training in using them before the surgey. At this rate I should should just move in to the VA as I'm spending all of my time there. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to do the rehab clinic next Friday before the LP as it is scheduled for 10AM. And I sure won't be able to do it afterwards. So that will be one more trip to the VA next week.
Take care,
Dennis
