Back on the Copaxone - side effects?

I've been off Copaxone for 6 weeks as my neurologist tried to figure out if my overall itchiness was related to the Copaxone or not.  Because the itchiness didn't go away after being off the Copaxone we decided the two were unrelated and I started taking Copaxone again, last night was my first injection after the break.  My question is - last night I woke up feeling like I had the flu, I was sweating, ached all over and had a massive headache.  I know these are side effects of the interferons but has anyone had this while on Copaxone?  I had no reaction like this the first few weeks I took Copaxone.

Never had a problem with copaxone other than injection site reactions.  Still get those after a year.

Thanks for your comment!  I think I may have jumped the gun in worrying on this one... things were much better after my shot last night but I think I might just be coming down with an actual flu.. go figure!   LOL!

those are definitely not listed among the side effects of copaxone - perhaps you really had some type of virus in your system making you feel bad?  hope you feel better....

Hi Mummy. Just wanted to chime in. I'm on month 4 with Copaxone and have not had any headaches or flu-luke symypoms that I would attribute to Copax. How are you feeling about tonight's shot?

Hm, those defiantly sound like my post injection side effects when I forget to pop an Advil - but I'm on Rebif! Of course, what you're experiencing is unusual.

Maybe you've caught the real deal!  By that I mean the flu :P and that you're feeling it right after your most recent injection after a Copaxone hiatus is just a coincidence.

Have the symptoms subsided?
