Hi,
My neuro wanted me to switch to Lyrica from gabapentin. He said Lyrica is 6 times stronger.
I have not switched because gabapentin is so much more affordable for me right now. I might try it in the future though.
Feel better soon......

I have been on Lyrica for 8 mths. now and It really does work, takes alot of my deep pain away,It by no means fixes the Intire problem. I can only take 150mg of It however I due take it at nite. It works better for me to due that.If I take more it also makes me to tired, want to sleep all day.I am also on lexapro 20 mg.
I also have that burn, mainly my hips, thighs, then went to my arms. After a few mths of that it somewhat subsided, only to stay with me every time I move fast. I have two young boys and a very large back yard.I have to run across to catch my 2 yr old.Sad part is I cant !! So now I have my 5 yr old catch him 4 me..lol althogh It's not all that funny I still find alittle humor in it ..The pain may have gone away when I lie down,It's now when I
get up that I have to deal with it.It now is through out my hole body, seems like any thing I due I have that dern burning feeling.Just trying to finish this hurts from elbows down.My wrist and fingers.I wanted to let you know where my pain ( BURNING ) started and where it stoped and decided to stay and hang out.Let me add that the burn has always been there it went from one extrem to another, and then back..just to be worst then before.. I'm sending Good vibes and well wishes to you hang in there ...
I stopped Lyrica. It made me sleepy all day.
I saw my Neuro Doc and now RX for Ativan...for anxiety and
Trileptal for burning neuropathic pain. I have an IVIG and MRI next week. Want to stop this MS flare up ASAP.
Thanks. I will get back on Lyrica as Psych. Doc suggested. I see Neuro. Doc on Monday! Writing the group helped me push to get a fast appointment.
Gabapentin is good for nerve pain. It worked great for me for 2 years. I just recently switched to Lyrica...but haven't been on it long enough to know yet...

I've heard that Lyrica is good for neuropathic pain, but I wouldn't take my word for it - let your neurologist know that you're having pain and heat sensations, as well as anxiety.
