I don't know what to think.... Please help...

So, I've seeing a neuro for about 2 years now. Initially he said my symptoms were suspected MS; I have been dx'd with Fibro prior... The neuro had me do a sleep study, where it was discovered I have severe RLS, waking myself every approx every 3 minutes - so I've been and am on meds for that and fibro. (Mirapex, Cymbalta, Lyrica).
I had a spinal tap - negative - showed low Folic Acid
Had periphial test - negative
Numerous blood tests - High inflamation, low iron
Ocular Tests - negative
MRI's - lesions on first, "changed" or "new" lesions on second, and no change on last (most recent).

Cognitive thinking tests: very poor attention and memory - yet superior communication skills...
My Symptoms:
Severe leg pain Both Legs at the same time
Severe fatigue
Leg cramps
Shooting pain throughout body (intermittent)
Stomach muscle cramps
Incontinence
Migraines
Loss of periphial vision.
Severe foot pain, even after just waking (if I've slept) in the morning.
Feeling that some one is pressing on the tops of my feet with their thumbs as hard as they can (both at the same time)
And of course, that hug... I call it more of an envelope, because it seems to envelop me.
Horrible Menstrual cycles

I will be 45 in May 2011. These symptoms started about 10 years ago and are getting worse and more frequent for a longer duration.

I have yet to be dx'd with MS; however, my neuro had me come in for a blood test that he is having done for "all of his MS patients" for a clinical study... WHAT?

I'm prepared to deal with having MS if I do, I just want to know if lesions, and all my other symptoms says "yes" or if I still need to "wait it out" for a definitive yes or no.

Sorry my spelling is bad..

hi and welcome to the forum here.  In reading your list of symptoms and your neuro's approach, I would say take all your test results and your films and find another doctor to do a second opinion.  You've waited long enough with those symptoms without answers.

Just based on  the new lesions from the first to second MRI, you have fulfilled one of the Mcdonald criteria for naming this MS.

be well, Lulu

Thank you both; reluctant to look for another doctor at this time, since it took me so long to find this one - who actually listens... Not only that, he put me on Short Term Disability last month, as I do not seem to be able to function at my job as a programmer. I am forgetting the most basic code that I learned a long time ago, and used frequently. I'm forgetting a lot of things.. Stupid things, like which way to turn the faucet for hot/cold...

But, I suppose it couldn't hurt to get a second opinion.

I agree with Lulu. I would find a different doctor. Seems like if you could find a different doctor you could maybe get a diagnosis and maybe get on meds so that you don't have to suffer daily.
