Another week already?

Yikes! Where does the time go? It seems like we just did this weekly roundup yesterday.

Yes, it is again time to check in and let us know what excitement you have in store this week. For anyone new, this is a good place to tell us about upcoming doctor appointments or personal events that you want to share.

For me, Wednesday is the last day of my work year until mid-August.  I am so looking forward to enjoying summer, doing some traveling, and maybe even a project or two around the house. So how am  I going to spend my first day of break?  I have an EGD scheduled for Thursday at 8:15.  What better way to begin the celebration that having an upper-GI procedure?

What fun do you have on the calendar this week?

Thanks for welcoming me into this club! Haha... I am glad that they finally were able to pinpoint it and it makes all the pieces fall into place! On the other hand, it brings a lot more to the table than I ever imagined. Every day this week I've been called about medications and appointments. I got my meds delivered today and will have the self injector delivered probably tomorrow. After that at some point my nurse will come show me how to use it and answer any questions I have...will be a long week I feel!

Watching daytime TV, reading papers and books and just lazing round..oh it is such fun being in relapse for the 5th week. Actually it stinks and I am fed up. Off to see neuro tomorrow for reassesment and MS nurse for drug trial and to eye hospital for drug trial on Friday.

Remind me to get some bowling lessons..just threw a toy for the dog from back door and whacked hand (and vein) against handle by mistake and found myself fainting in a heap. Luckily a friend was with me to sort me out. Not sure I would ever have made the cricket team.

Never mind feeling better now and also celebrating as 16 years ago I gave birth to my beautiful daughter..kids are hard work..but such a gift.  :)

I'm sorry for your diagnosis, CvilleMamaOf5, but I'm glad that you have one, and starting on meds.

Quix, I figured something was up once you posted and then seemingly disappeared for a little bit. I hope your mom will be OK and your hands & ankle heal soon.

Sumanadevii, sorry about the funerals and the potentially bad news regarding your sister in law.

And to everyone else out there who's having extra difficulties this week, I'm sending you good vibes. I hope it all works out for the best.

Sad to say but we are booked with two funerals this week.

One sister in law is being operated on tomorrow.  Hopefully not cancer.  We do not know.

We celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary.

My doctor returns Thursday from out of country.  We know where I will be....

So life cycles on......and on.....

Wow a black cat must have walked across your path while walking under a ladder as you spilled some salt. :)

For years I have alway said that if it wasn't for bad luck I would not have any...But you have gotten me beat by a long shot.  I sure do hope that this will start to look up for you very soon as your sure don't need any more things going wrong in your life.

Please take good care of yourself...

@CvilleMamaOf5,  you think you can just slide that sentence in there and not get noticed?  It stinks that you have been dx'd and join the group on the other side of the mountain ... I am so sorry for you but also glad that you have answers and begin treatment.

Welcome to the club that no one wants to belong to...

Well it seems like I have only posted in the last eon to tell you of all my woes.  For that I am so sorry.  The truth be told, It has been a woeful year.

Right after I posted last time - more or less - my tippity mother fell in the kitchen and fractured her upper humerus, her elbow and her pelvis.  Since then my sister and I have been doing nursing duty as she cannot rise from a chair and cannot walk by herself - so wheelchair it is.  I have an appointment with her on Friday with her to check to make sure her pelvic fractureS have not shifted.

I saw the orthopedist last week to check on my hands.  Three hand bones fractured on the left and a severe sprain of my thumb on the right.  They are healing well, but I still cannot handle loads.

Tomorrow I see yet another ortho guy to check on my worsening ankle from last year's fractures.  It's likely just post-traumatic arthritis, but I DON'T LIKE IT!  It's all swollen and buckley and stuff.

I am all set to begin Tysabri.  The financial assistance came through with the Chronic Disease Fund.  Their income limits are set very appropriates, and they realize that even people with good income cannot handle meds like this.

Laura, Shell, Ren and Ess - good to hear from you.  Two of you sound like you got GI issues.  Ess, how's your ankle pain?  Ren I hope your face pain stays bearable.

CvilleMom - welcome to the other side of the mountain.  What meds  are you starting?

Dennis - Good luck staying alert for the NP testing!  Yes a day of sleep might well be in order.

Mom98 - Enjoy!

Miss Laural - would you do mine while you're at it?  I have nine years of panties piled up in the laundry room.  As far as possible from the raccoons.  Instead of washing 4 pair a day (don't ask) I just order more!

Kelly - Good to hear from you!
