Hi all just stoppin in

Hi Quix and all my old friends.

I am back cuz I was having a mini panic attack I guess. I had my MRI's repeated and they are still neg however now I have to be on Baclofen due to the muscle spasms etc. I have been dx w/ MS so I shouldn't be surprised but it is frustrating you know. It would be nice if the MRI would just show it concretely but then again we only have 1.2T MRI here so what can I expect :). OK, I'm done whining I guess.

On the positive side I am 2 months shy of graduating with my RN degree~! YAY!! I look forward to taking care of pt's instead of being a pt! LOL

Alright, I'm off to do more homework. I'll stop in more often :)

You make me smile :) Yes the doubt creeps in and in some sick way I was hoping they'd find a fixable reason for the symptoms. I took care of a patient in the ER a few weeks ago who had the muscle spasms etc and his turned out to be a bulging disk in the C-spine so I called my neuro and asked for my MRI's to be repeated and look for that cuz "what if?" I was due to have them done anyway but was going to wait till the summer after I had a job but the thought that just maybe.... and then CRASH! No such luck. Oh well, my MS isn't extreme so I'm not complaining really.

So, other than that I'm writing my paper for school and getting ready to start precepting in Oncology (Cancer Care). The more I learn and unfortunately experience the effects of MS the more I want to work in Oncology where those poor people have to stay away from sick people.... and so do I! LOL. What a perfect fit!

Well I'll stop by more often. So, how is everyone else feeling?

Hi CZ,
I just saw your post in the expert forum - it's crazy, isn't it, how we get hit with those moments of doubt?
I do the same thing  and even grilled my neuro a while back on what he based my dx from.....

Wishful thinking, huh?

good luck with wrapping up school,
Lulu
