Dumb MRI ?

Hi there,
I did ask this question at the very bottom of the tongue numbness post but I guess it gets lost there. So decided to title as new question.
When you have a MRI of your cervical and thoracic done would this include pictures of your brain stem?  I am thinking not.

I have not had a brain MRI for over two years now (i think) but have had several Cervical and Thoracic ones done in last 12mths with and without Gad.

Cheers,
Udkas.

Thanks, I did think it would be odd if my Dr thought I could have a brain stem lesion and he didn't MRI it... :-)
But I just wasn't sure because I knew it was the last bit before the brain.. I did know that the thoracic was no where near it, my med knowledge did extend to knowing that but I wasn't sure about the cervical bit.

Next question if you had a lesion in your brain stem then does TM become MS? Or is it still TM?  I know it is dependent on the type of lesion but I was under the belief that TM is strictly spinal cervical, thoracic and even lumbar but normally thoracic and once you get lesions in your brain stem it becomes MS..

B.T.W. my tongue is still numb and my arm feels weak but I do have a really bad headache now.

Cheers Udkas.
