you have to laugh, the alternative is not fun. Be sure to get copies of your MRI's as you leave the facility. You want a copy of those for your own records. Good luck and hopefully everything will come together for you next week.
be well, Lulu
I just met a man whose wife also has MS. He told me that when she's pushed herself too hard, one side of her face droops. I've never had that happen to me before (that I've noticed) but now I know it can be expected.
Thanks to both of you. It does make sense that the muscles could have been tired. It was late and I think my hubby and I had been laughing a lot.
I also have nystagmus in that eye. Well my MRI's are tomorrow and Monday so I suppose by Wed I may have a little more info (like those tell me anything...Yeah Right)
I know it is not good to laugh at all of these crazy issues, but sometimes I think if I don't I will go crazy.
I will just pray for a remission soon. I should be getting money from work comp and getting my social security approved probably on the same day lol!!! So all of my stress will be gone....that is when my MS WILL relax a bit.
Hi,
I'm not sure if I can be much help. I've had this happened in my upper eyelid. This has occurred off and on. It act upfor days, or just hours. I'm unDX, but many of my doctors feel I do have MS.
I've read on several web pages that this can occur in MS, and it can have something to do with the cranial nerves. Or just like you get muscle fatigue in your arms, legs, etc,..fatigue can happen with MS in your face, or numbness.
It's a more common feature in neurosarcoid, but can occur in MS as well.
The article that I found says "Patients with MS may present with facial palsies or trigeminal neuralgia. In fact, the presence of bilateral facial weakness or trigeminal neuralgia strongly suggests the diagnosis of MS. Facial myokymia may also be a presenting symptom. Nystagmus (direction-changing) and internuclear ophthalmoplegia signs are other manifestations."

Take Care
I've never been 'crooked' but my right eye did droop noticeably for several months.
Quix has commented on this - her face shows some muscle weakness on one side.
