Monday morning.....again

Ok, it's Monday again, what's everyone up to and off to....

I'm sitting at the heart clinic waiting for my pacemaker check (seems we just did this)
And then errands and a quick visit to the clinic to see if they want to x-ray my knee where I fell last week ( if feels like it pinches when I walk

Then nothing pressing til Friday, just a luncheon and to write up an instruction sheet for a proposal on  a knitting class I want to teach in the fall, and house sit for a neighbor.

Have a good week and everyone stay  safe, spring IS coming... I think

I have my bone marrow biopsy today.  That's what I've been thinking about all week.

I took today and tomorrow off.  Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and 70 degrees - I hope to enjoy it.

Many, many doctor appts are in store for me for next week.

Friday will be 8 yrs since my mom passed away from cancer at 51yrs old. She was Irish, so we all (me my brothers and our spouses) try to get together and have dinner or lunch at an Irish restaurant to remember her (plus she passed so close to St. Patrick's Day - she would want to have gone with us).

Had a bummer of a neuro appointment today. I think I had set my hopes too high that this poor soul would actually know what I was talking about and could help me. Still, he set me up for more testing so I guess that's something.

Really, I think I might just take any diagnosis at this point, just to not have to smack down my timeline before any more doctors.

But I am done with anything medical for the week now, so really hoping to maintain some sense of normal with the fam!

I've just finished work for the week - yay.  Coffee with friends tomorrow and into town on Thursday to pick up our new car.  Quite excited about picking it up.  While searching the internet at work this morning I found an instance of someone developing a fluorescent light sensitivity, after having had optic neuritis, that they never knew they had.  I'm thinking this might explain my terrible light sensitivity.

I've also just received a message from a relative saying they can get me in to see a Neurologist a month earlier than my appointment here is scheduled.  Only problem is, it's in another country.  What to do ..........

Long day tomorrow with the neuro and an MS study follow up.  I have THREE MRI's scheduled - the first in the 7t for the study, then the 3T MRI and an MRA to check my brain aneurysm.  Sounds like I have lots of nap time ahead of me tomorrow.

I see a different neuro at 9 am for this study, then the 7t for imaging. I was supposed to have my Tysabri after this and before the other MRI's but they called late today and said they are short on nurses in the clinic due to illness and they want to reschedule my infusion.  I asked them to try to work it out, becuase I still have to make the not quite two hour drive for the other appointments. Fingers crossed it will work out.

Thursday I have a late day theraoeutic massage and can't wait to have my shoulder worked on.

I have one more grant proposal to read and then critique for PCORI before Wednesday, and then I am done This has taken a slew of time and I will be glad when this part is done.

I found out that I'll be off work for an additional three weeks when I went to the orthopedic surgeon last week.  He feels better about that than I do but I have to admit I'm no where near ready to return yet.  I doubt I'd make it into the office before I needed a break.

The rheumatologist is on the calendar for Thursday.  He keeps having me return every four months even though he seldom has anything new to offer these days.  He does draw blood to monitor inflammation, blood counts, liver function and kidney health.  They have a lab right in the office so I don’t have to do any extra running around to get it done.

Other than that I’ll get myself to a badly needed hair appointment and start some self-supervised therapy exercises in ernest.  Swelling is my nemesis with this knee.  It starts to set in as soon as I’m up in the morning and nothing seems to make a difference.

Good luck to everyone else with all the goings on you've got going on.

Had one of my best friends here for the weekend, great to spend time with him, he just left for his flight back to the east coast.  My other best friend coming from the west coast on Thursday for the weekend, she's coming to spend time with me while my husband is away for some heavy metal concerts. Just didn't have it in me to join him this time.  More house stuff ongoing: someone coming on Weds to measure for blinds, someone else coming to repair damage to the banisters by the movers; and out to look at fabric swatches for furniture.  And unpacking, lots more unpacking.  Cant wait till it's all done and we're settled in.  Living out of boxes gets a little old after a few weeks.

Filling out Cobra paperwork this morning, then getting blood drawn for liver, thyroid, etc. Then going to finish a decorating job at a friends lake house. THEN, we are packing to move to another state and start a new job next week! Thinking I have another UTI and praying for strength and energy to do everything. A little overwhelmed...

Havent done this in quite awhile.  So far, my night had turned into my day :(. Really sick asthmatic kid up most of the night.

We have strep throat and respiratory issues in the house right now.   Been a few months of healthiness though , not on wood. Just hope it stays far from me.

Inlaws coming in this week for the blue and gold. Cub scout ceremony.  1 kiddo moving to boy scouts and another one moving up a rank.

The rest is full of soccer, baseball, and other "boy" stuff.  I am planning a get away w hubby for 20th anniversary and him getting his masters (finally) at the end of the month.  So that is fun and something to look forward to...

I still wanna have a good chat with that groundhog.  Out of the public eye.

Did my Federal taxes last night.  I'm wondering: Is it not cruel that having to work harder (5 "jobs," basically self-employed at all of them) means my tax return is more complicated than ever?  Well, the good news is that I don't owe anything.  The bad news is that's cuz I didn't make anything!

Nothing out of the ordinary that I can think of for the week, personally.

Saturday night is the girls lock-in at the church.  Nancy's idea; I get to do an intro, then bug out & let her deal with them.  I get the boys the following week, after we host a Southern Gospel group from SE Ohio.  That happens to be my birthday, too.

Blessings, all.

Alex, you describe some wonderful offerings from your local MS Society. Preventing Falls would be great. I have checked my state's web site numerous times and I never see anything vaguely interesting. It's like they're asleep.

My lack of interest could partially be my own fault. One day I'll go in there and just ask what they have, hoping it's just their web presence that's boring.

Loving the Spring like weather!

5 doctors appointments this week

Women Against MS Luncheon

Free From Falls Class through NMSS it is six weeks and great if your chapter ever offers it.

I am going to be a dancing head at my friend's art opening so I have been taking dance lessons. I have two left feet. But no one will know who I am.

Painting for my show in April.
