HUNGER AFTER TAKING GABAPENTIN

Has anyone else noticed extreme hunger after taking the Gabapentin?

I usually take a 300mg in the evening and another 300mg right at bedtime. Literally about 10 min later, you can hear my stomach growling. It gets so bad that I have to eat something or I can't fall asleep.

This is becoming a big problem. I can't be eating late like this and it doesn't matter if I had a huge dinner or not. When I have had to take them during the day, its only a 100mg and I don't notice a difference.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi i have been taking gabapentin for almost 2 years i think, cant remember when i started taking it (lol) sound familiar to anyone (haha).
Since starting on it my dosage has been increased to 900mgs morning and 900mgs at night. I have not had any side effects from the medication in fact i have lost about 40lbs since then, i cant eat the way i used to and i take no exercise i dont have the energy and i now eat chocolate like its going out of fashion (forgive my terminology and typos) thats the only way to describe it cant find the right words. So i have no adverse sde effects. Sorry i cant give you any words of wisdom on this issue you have maybe you should see your doc and have a chat with him regarding your issues and he may be able to try you on another medication from the same type.

Best wishes
Take Care Julie xx
