I'm so glad that Susie is on the mend; I hope that she continues to get her strength back. I agree, give your hubby a big hug and kiss when you have the energy, Susie!
I'm going to check the American Lung Association website for nearby flu clinic locations and put a H1N1 shot at the top of my list for tomorrow.
Thanks, Quix, for sharing this with us, and for passing along our well-wishes and prayers to our legalgirl.
Kathy

Ditto on the prayers & well wishes, as well as the thanks to the Quixter. Neighbor was hit in October, & she's still weaning off the O2. It's truly nothing we want for anyone.
So glad you survived a potentially deadly situation. Sending get well wishes and hope you feel better soon!.

How horrible, and fortunate at the same time, give that hubby a big kiss. Sadly, we have had a handful of deaths over here, 2 were pregnant and the others where already dealing with unspecified 'underlying conditions,' she is very lucky everyone was on the ball.
Please pass on my best wishes, and i'm sure like many others we will be very glad when she is up to chatting to us again but in the mean time let her know she must rest and let everyone else do the Christmas arrangements, her job should be to sit back with a glass of bubbly and watch everyone else run around like headless chooks.
Take care Susie!!

Susie I hope you get better soon.

Prayers & hopeful thoughts to legalgirl5
The H1N1 virus is no joke. Maybe some people get through it fine and others don't. I am so thankful that our friend is out of danger and is recovering, but this could have been any one of us. Even with MS, we don't know who is going to do poorly and who will come through no problem. I ran around and around trying to find the vaccine wherever I could because the thought of being hit with this now, with my pulmonary functions being so low, scared me.
Thanks Quix for bringing this to our attention and please let legalgirl know that we are thinking of her.
Julie
I'm so sorry to learn this. Poor Susie.
This can be a reminder to all of us, including me, that flu is dangerous not only for itself, but for its impact on MS patients.
Please tell Susie that we are pulling for her, and will be looking forward to hearing from her once she feels well enough.

Thank you Quix, for updating us on Susie. Wow, this was a close brush with death. Oh Susie, we are all so glad to hear that you fought back against this virus and thankful to the doctor's that saved your life.
You know something Quix? Since the general public are now being given the H1N1 vaccine, I have heard many of them say, that doctor's are also giving them the pneumonia vaccine. Wonder what that is all about?
Susie, you rest up, regain your strength and post when you are ready. I am so glad to hear that you are on the mend. Thank God.
Heather
Is this a good time to remind everyone that the H1N1 vaccine was released this week for the general public? I'm getting mine on Thursday and I hope everyone else will consider it seriously, too.
Tell legalgirl that we are thankful that she is still with us, and we appreciate her sharing the details so that we might learn from her experience.

Oh my goodness! I will add her and her family to my prayer list. I'm so glad she is home now and received some great medical care. Please keep us updated if possible.
Blessings,
ArmyGirl73
So glad to hear that she was able to get treatment - it could have been very bad.
Note to self - go and get vaccine.
Tell her my thoughts and prayers are with her. There are cases of it here and it scares me. Thank God for her husband getting her help.
