Happy New Year a bit late.. I have been with out my computer for quite some time.. I hope I now have it back for a while.
Did all of you have a nice Holiday Season? Mine was Wonderful. My first in PA. in 40years. I miss my Grandchildren in CA. But I don't miss the STRESS that I left behind.

Right now I am loving the cold weather and Snow. Yes I am serious ;-)

The MS doesn't seem to be as bad, I think it has a lot to do with the stress factor. My Bladder is still causing extreme pain , but they just can't come up with a treatment for the darn thing.

The Neuro in Pittsburgh has refused  to take me on, because I couldn't keep my head still for the MRI, he had built up my hopes of finally being given copaxone, excuse the spelling. I have been living with MS for 25 years and he is saying I need to have the MRI to prove it to him.. ;-(

I knew it was a long shot after all these years to finally get one of the new MS drugs... Life goes on.

I have been managing OK without the morphine pump, but I don't like taking the oral morphine because it can cause more damage.. I have been able to get the dose down to 100Mg's every six hours with another 30Mg's when the pain is worse.
So I guess we can say I am hanging in there.

My Baby Boy (Kitten) is now 10 months old and is close to 12 LB's Yes he is a very big boy. I have to remind myself that he is still just a kitten..Giuseppe will have new photos posted later.

I want to THANK ALL OF YOU for your prayers and well wishes throughout last year. They really helped me so very much. I am so sorry to have been out of touch for so darn long.. Now that I am back on line I will do my best to catch up with every one, and I know there are so many new members..

I want to wish all of our January Birthday's a Very Happy Birthday. and to wish everyone a better New Year.. I have really missed all of you more than you know. Lulu has tried to keep me up-dated, but our group is large.. all of you are the BEST..

I'll bring you all up to date as time allows, the main thing I want to do is catch up with all of you...

Hi there, it's nice to hear from you and see you are settled now.  I'm glad you have less stress and feel not too bad.  Sorry you can't get a MRI done to please this Neuro?  Not sure why he would need it?

sumana - Sedation is an extremely dangerous process for DJ - there is always the risk that she won't wake up from the sedation and the doctors don't do this lightly for her. And being sedated does not stop her spasms - if those begin while she is under, all the doctors can do is step back and wait it out.  It is all a very tricky process.

I am so happy to log on and see that you are back with us!!  This is great news that you are here....I think having a working computer for you is a must.  If you lose your computer again we should take up an offering for you to buy one.

I am so sorry to hear about not having a chance with a DMD.  You have been sick for so long that at least trying it to see how you respond should be approved.  The 'boy-genius' had to have an excuse to refuse to see you.  He probably didn't have a clue how to help you so he made up an excuse.  Jerk!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad to hear from you DJ! I'm sorry to hear about the idiot neuro and the inability to help with the bladder spasms but I know good and well you will fix  this problem in a short time frame.

It's so wonderful to see you back on here DJ, you have been missed!!!!! Just keep talking nice to that computer so we don't lose you on here again.

I'm sorry you are still having pain and hanging in there is not the answer. I'm so angry with that dumb*** neuro who won't take you on. Really, what an idiot. You so need to be on a DMD so that maybe you can get some relief from all of this. I'm praying that you can find someone who will work with you and get you on the treatment you so desperately need.

I've kept tabs on you with Lulu but am so happy to see you back. You've been in my heart and prayers.

I have a feeling one of my new kitties are going to be big like yours - Kiki (a wee Manx) is really petite, and I don't think she'll get beyond 8 lbs, but ManRay is a big male who, at 5 months, is already 7.5 lbs!  We figure he'll top out at 15 lbs...we'll see!

Well it is lovely to read your Happy New Year message and I am sure that you are going to be inundated with messages from all your friends who have been thinking of you and missing your calm presence on the forum. I am so sorry that you are suffering with so much pain and you are such a brave lady and I hope that you can keep the morphine to a level that gives you relief and allows you to do what you are able to.
