Thats really cool,
reminds me of my wife's story of how she almost jumped on Elvis when she was a little girl from a balcony above him. Her friend yelling "Jump Becky, Jump!"

This is such a good off topic read, I just HAD to do the bump with it.
Can you all see Shermay now batting the crowd out of her way?
Lance, ahhh, sigh!
Have a nice night,

You have all made the experience even more majical by responding to this off topic thread - thank you all soooo much,
I was surrounded by the French, but I have lived here now in Provence for over 6 years now and I elbowed my way to the front with my canes - I didn't give one little hoot what the French thought of me. Lance is the best cyclist ever, and he deserved it.
To Wanna, I am going to get that book it does sound inspirational.
OOhhh I still get goosebumps thinking about his sweaty arm - ahhhhhhh
Once again thanks all, for making me feel even more special,
Debs xx
Feeling the thrill along with you as you described the moment!!!!!!!!
Wow!!!!! Body and eye contact! Surely a fabulous day.
Thank you so much for sharing this moment with us, Shermay.

OMG!!!! YOU TOUCHED HIM????? OMG!!!! He smiled at you???? OMG!!!! That sight will be burned in your mind forever. I am sooo jealous!!!! But truly happy for YOU!!!!
I am a long distance cyclist and love July and watching the TDF. It is awesome seeing Lance ride again this year and admire the work he does for his foundation. His book "It's Not About The Bike" is inspiring for anyone going through an illness and recommend it to anyone who might need encouragement.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful moment!!!! We all need those in our lives.
Wanna :o)
You touch Lance Armstrong? Awesome!!!! And he heard you rooting for him. Double Awesome!!!
Now my questions is, what did the people around you think of that, being in France and all?
That will be a memory that lasts a lifetime. Good for you for being so bold.
Julie
Well Debs,
You can leave this earth a happy woman now! :-)
What a great memory for you - thanks for sharing. Although like you I am disappointed a bit that he finishes third, I am thrilled that he came back as an elderly racer LOL and did so well.
Its so nice that you got this little bit of joy to remind us that life isn't all about suffering.
my best,
Lu
HOW Cool is that!, My husband and I are stuck to the TV in the month of July. Well we watch all the bike races. Not only is the racing exciting the scenery is to die for. May be we will have money someday and get back to Europe.
