Hooray....you did it. Congratulations. I totally agree with Lulu. Your headache and bodyache are probably NOT from the Copaxone. The skin reaction you had, was exactly what all of us go through.
Even after a year on Copaxone, I still get lumps in certain places and stinging with the medicine in my butt. I just remind myself that this is no big deal considering that I am trying to slow down a very serious disease. It makes it easier to do the shot everyday.
I don't look forward to it (hey who likes needles) but it's a very small thing that I have to do to hopefully protect my body from further attacks.
Keep up the great work. When you think one day that you can't give yourself another shot, just think back to all the good that you are doing for your body, until medical science comes up with something easier and better. I know that day is not far off.
Big Blessings,
Heather
You did this all on your own - with just some gentle nudging from the folks here. Its great to hear the first injection went ok - everytime you do it think of all the good your are doing for yourself! The bodyache and headache are probably your cold and not the copaxone. But always when in doubt call the SS folks and ask. They really are quite accomodating to everything.
Friday's are my stomache days - the only thing I found was that their rotation chart didn't make a lot of sense to me so I do my shot in the stomache, then right/left thigh, right, left hips/buttocks and right/left arms. I just find it easier to remember what comes next, if I can backtrack to Friday and visualize my injection sites.
You will figure out a system that works best for you !!!!
Welcome to the world of copaxone - it gets easier and better, I promise.
Lulu
