Abnormal signal with Dwason's finger like configuration

I recently got a brain MRI after progressive tremors in my hands and increasing pain and weakness in my legs.  My MRI report staes that I have a few scattered foci of high T2 and inversion recovery signal seen in the cerebrum involving the left frontal, left parietal, and right frontal lobes.  There is a suggestion of a "Dawsons fingers" like configuration of this abnormal signal in the right frontal lobe.  My Neurologist thinks these are due tp my migraines, but that doesn't explain my progressive weakness, balance problems and leg pain.  What the heck?  Help anyone?

did you get a copy of the CD MRI?  and copy of the results?  I ope so..if not I would ask them for copies.. and ask another Neuro to look at the CD ... Dawson's fingers usually are MS...but maybe not always...and sometimes...the Radiologist will say it could be Dawson's fingers...and the Neuro will say No..?

take care

Hi LJB and welcome to our community.  If you have done any research about MS you have probably read that Dawson finger lesions are almost always from MS.  Their location is a tell tale sign.

I would go looking for another neuro if this one really wants to use the migraine dx as an explanation.
