In need of support/ prayer

Today I feel a little lost everyone, my health program that I just got on called and said that they don't have a neuro on their program right now. So there maybe a quick end to the start of my journey. I don't know where else to turn for medical help. I can't afford insurance. I am so lost, the specialist are so expensive.

I am gonna wait on my bloodwork and pray something comes around. That is why I am posting today. Please everyone pray for me or lend your support in anyway you can. Thanks everyone.

Lost and confused,
Kimberly

You can also contact your local chapter of the National MS Society.  They have people there who are trained in helping patients find assistance in the patients area.  I'd also call your local health dept.  They should be able to point you in the right direction!

count me in im praying for you and just a thought  all ways ask and make copies of your med records when u vist your doctors as you leave  that way when something goes wrong you have them to take to new dr. they should'nt cost you anything if you ask at each vist but might if you have to call them and ask then  hope this helps you some

( with haveing to go to new dr and them haveing to start over again they look at it more if you have something in writeing from other dr. even if its just the notes)

don't beat yourself up over not finding a better job when you were younger.  no one can see down the road for sure and even when you do, it doesn't work out the way you think sometimes.

am sending you good vibes and hope all works out for you......sometimes roadblocks are there for a reason, we just don't know what it is

Yeah I tried that here its called lonestar. They just are getting setup though and had no specialist yet under them. I had a few bad experiences there. They dismissed me like I was just wanting something to complain about, and they didn't want to secure my records from prior doctors.

I have heard that they have specialist now. So, as a very last resort I may try them again. But it ***** cuase they don't take into consideration that our hours are never a for sure thing, so I am always on the higher end of the spectrum.

Once agian thanks all for the prayers and support. Hopefully the bloodwork gives me a few answers. May god bless you all.

Just a thought.... Where I live they have a community clinic which can be located through your local health dept. There you can be seen on a sliding scale fee and get referred to specialists at a much discounted cost. I went this route prior to being insured. I wish you much luck!

I am thinking of you and sending my prayers. It is so difficult to have these symptoms and no name for it. I realize that a name won't help the symptoms, yet at least you will know and can receive treatment.

Hugs,
Minnie :)

I will do that. One question though without a dxs will ms society be able to help? I mean some of my newer sxs don't even sound like ms, but last time that is what my neuro believed was going on.

The local county hospital should  have a program you can get into.  The trick is figuring out which one is the right one.  They assess your ability to pay.  If you can't, then they have assistance programs to help.  Where do you live?  I can at least help you figure out which hospital is the appropriate one.  They would definitely have a neurologist rotating in to care for patients.

If you want to do this on your own, this is a good way to find out which hospital is the right one:  when you watch the news, which hospital do you see that are having patients flown in from major accidents- or other?  This hospital would be on the news fairly frequently.  If you live in a small town, the hospital I'm talking about may be a fair distance away.  You can PM me, and I am very willing to help you figure out a solution.

Yeah I am not dxs yet. I was on the path to it about 4 years ago, but the same program dropped me for making to much. Now that I got back on they no neuro, so I am about to be dropped again. I live in Texas and I am married.

Some other info you may need to know is that he is offered insurance at his job but neither of us are for sure what hours will look Ike week to week. We have bills to pay. So it's hard. Thanks for your prayers and help.

Thank you, I am just tired of not having answers. Nothing seems to be getting better. I trust god has his reasons, and I am trying to focus on just relaxing and living day by day. I also wanted to add if anyone knows of any organizations or groups that can help me with the fincial burden I would be grateful.

I messed up when I was younger and didn't get a better job. Now I am paying the cost, but my health is on the line. So any support would be greatly appreciated.

Prayers from me as well.  Can I ask what state you live in?  Maybe I can help look into ways that you can be seen by a neuro at lower cost.  I take it you're not dx'ed yet?

Kimberly,

So sorry that things aren't coming together for you.  You can count on my prayers.  I know it's so hard to be patient but hang in there and God will make everything come together in His own time.

Hugs,
