anybody else hot 24/7

I seem to be hotter than normal, full body sweats whilst not even exerting  myself and have a constant need for my "beloved"ceiling fan  and car air con.
Anybody else ????

Lol I do the same. The ceiling fan has to be on winter/summer.  When everyone else is cold I'm sweating. They say it's hot flashes but mine doesn't flash lol im hot most of the time unless I'm sick with a fever.

Keep in mind that over our side of the world, we're actually dealing with hot weather so it could be that your environmental temperatures are too high for you, possibly both inside and outside and increasing your core temperature.

'IF' this is related to MS Uhthoff phenomenon, i'm thinking it could possibly be:

a) external temp exposure causing pseudo, sweating is the bodies natural defence to cool you down, it could be that the sweating is what's getting your attention that your too hot, and you are possibly not recognising all your MS warning signs eg increasing fatigue, decreasing visuals, loosing balance, muscle weakness etc etc

b) Lesion(s) directly effecting the control of autonomic and endocrine functions - "Lesions within the CNS, specifically the hypothalamus, may impair the homeostatic control of body temperature in individuals with MS and allow for atypical fluctuations in body temperature"

Uhthoffs is one of the really common problem (70+ %) for MSers, I am personally effected by hot weather but i have some issues with cold temperatures too.

Cheers.......JJ

Yes I am doing the very same thing.  I thought it was maybe my UTI , but this is over the top.  Flash heat, sweating, then cold......... not fun huh ???

I too use the ceiling fans and am thinking about putting on my air con sooner than later.

You are not alone, stay cool !!!
