It really is Monday - time for the week in preview!

The Labor Day holiday here makes it feel like the weekend still, but our new week has really begun.  There appears to be a lot going on this week - this is our roundup spot for any news of pending events you want us to be aware of.....

So give it up - dr. appts, meetings, celebrations - anything goes.

It's check in time!

Was perfect on the East side this weekend - simply lovely.

I've got a urologist appt. tomorrow and hoping to find out what the heck is going on w/my right kidney. Fighting through a nasty cold too - yuck.

The kids are back to school today though. So, let the grind begin!

Well, Labor day was great for us yesterday.  I took a few of my kids to the Cleveland Air Show.  It was great fun!  (except for my teenager, who moped around but "didnt complain", per him.  My hubby stayed home, and I was brave enough to drive and be in huge traffic in Cleveland. I was proud of myself. (I don't normally do this, but REALLY wanted to see the Air show, which was spectacular!)

Today I am recuperating from all the walking, which was good for me, not too great for my leg though. But it was worth it.

My work called last Friday and told me they canceled patients today, due to 2 surgeries that got booked the last minute. Fine by me...

The next couple nights we have football, scout meetings, piano and all the rest.

Wednesday night starts Rosh Hashanah. (Jewish New Year).  I am taking the kids out of school Thursday for the holiday and we will be in services all day.

Friday I see the MS neuro, and then I work Saturday, with Football game at night, and big football party/cookout after.

So, thats it.      Michelle

I'm thinking of giving up the pretense that I am job hunting, given that there seems to be nowhere worthwhile left to hunt that wouldn't require relocation.  Still praying the church will become a career, but the donations to me from individual private sponsors are still frequently as great as those to the church by its' few members/attendees, none of whom are well off.  It remains a mission work for now -- if we can keep the lights on.

Stepdaughter needs a ride to the dentist this morning, for a tooth she broke this weekend.

Speaking of which, our weekend was full and fabulous.  Put the "new" fridge in the kitchen.  I brought it into the household when we married, but it's been stashed in the garage since.  Church was great, and Sunday afternoon/evening we were among 130 (or so) guests at a barbecue put on by a friend at his probably-close-to-a-million-dollar house, which I helped inspect for structural safety when he built it two years ago (he built in a county with no building code whatsoever, but wanted someone to check it out).

I'm building shelves in the pantry so we can get the house at least partly back in order (that's where the old electric panel is, which will be made useless over time as I install new circuits to the new panel from all over the house and garage).

Tonight is the village council hearing at which we expect final approval for our new church sign (see my profile for a picture).  I expect no problem, but these meetings can be interminable as they discuss sewer repairs, potholes, police budgets, revenue, etc., etc., ad infinitum.  Back when my job included such things, it wasn't unusual to get home near midnight after some such gatherings.

Hoping the gash on the end of the left thumb heals quickly, and that I am able to avoid many more such little inconveniences with all these household projects.  No other medical items on my list for the whole week, and praying that it stays that way.  My remission still seems nearly complete, for which we are giving many thanks.

Peace & blessings to all you fine folks, as always.

Tomorrow, Nathan has a play date.  Wednesday is a OB appointment and a stop to give away boy clothes.  Thursday is my MOPS (mother of pre-schoolers) mtg, followed by a stop to give away a bed frame. Friday......hopefully resting up!

I would gladly take a do-over on this Monday - as johnnymutt wrote, it was spectularly perfect weather.  Yesterday was excellent, too.

It will be a chopped up week for me - work of course.  Then Wednesday I'm up to see the neuro and Thursday is my regular checkup with the cardiologist.  the neuro is at minimum a 5 hour trip up and back and the cardio will burn another half day or so.  Bottom line - it will be a mighty short work week for me.

If I can remember, I will ask the neuro about relapse vs pseudorelapse.  It confuses the heck out of a bunch of us here!  I'm on the 3rd round of antibiotics for the UTI that threw my symptoms into high gear.  Maybe by the end of the week it will be gone for good.

I am still working on painting of cat.

I am going riding on Wednesday. Clara the horse I ride was sick last week so I missed riding.

I went to the Dog show with Polly. She was really good outside the rings. Only two Dalmatians which made us very sad. I took lots of picture of dogs to paint.

I am going to a health care summit Saturday and my DH is riding the MS150.

You're going to have to give us some more proof that this is actually a Monday! :) It's a beautiful day here in northwest Ohio. I went to a wedding yesterday, and it was nice to get out and see the family (I'm a bit reclusive these days). Things went great, with minimal suffering when I got home. I'm happy with that.

I finally get to go in on Thursday for a full day of testing. The first test is some sort of bladder test, with talks of a machine, sounds kinky, lol. The second test is with my neuro, for a nice afternoon of evoked potentials. I actually am really looking forward to this test, as I hope some direction can be found on this dang illness.

Today, as my spasticity is minimal, I am actually getting a chance to paint on my truck some more. The wife and daughter is at my wife's parents house. It certainly is peaceful around here, with only a little traffic, a nice breeze, and the occasional glass of ice tea.

I hope you all are having a beautiful day.

Happy Labor Day!!!
This week could go two ways... I went to UCSF Fri to see if I can continue my Tysabri.

Tues I call to get some test results, and I have PT.
If test results go in my favor, I go for Tysabri infusion on Thurs...that is what I am hoping for so that is what I am going to say is happening :)
Wed I go to the GP to hopefully get more PT appts requested so ins will improve them.

So Fri I will most likely be sleeping all day.

Have a great week everyone
D

Tomorrow my son goes back to school, he isn't excited about it, he has never liked school but he does good in school.

Wednesday, I go back to see my neuro to get the results of my VER test. Hopefully something will lead us in the right direction.

Other than that I have no other plans, we'll see what happens and I end up doing.

Desperately trying to finish packing for our cross-country move for my new job. Feeling worse recently--spasticity, paresthesias, endurance, etc.--and wondering what the heck I was thinking to take a job where I'll have no long-term disability for pre-existing conditions for a year.

Right now my only task for the week is to call the VA to see if the request for a consult with GI doctor has been put in yet. When I had called last week the ER doctor had put in my records that he was going to put in the request but never actually did put it in. I half expect that I will have to head back up to the VA after I call to stomp on someone to get the request put in.
