Thanks Lulu,

Yeah I'm trying to find out if I have MS, so I guess the lesion wasn't an MS lesion, she just called it an non-specific brain lesion abnormality.  I just didn't think to ask her, I didn't feel comfortable with her.  I think she thinks I'm faking, and I didn't like the way the whole exam went, so I will be going to another neuro.  She is a MS specialist, and I thought I was going to the best, but the atmoshere was so uncomfortable, my blood pressure shot up, and I went into a state of panic, and I couldn't concentrate on what she was asking me to do. The vertigo was really bad, so my everything was swirlly, and the high blood pressure gave me a headache. When they asked me the timeline, I couldn't think straight I felt like I was drugged.
It just didn't go well, if it had been in a different atmoshere, I wouldn't have gotten so nervous.  All the time waiting for this appt and I botched it.  She did suggest I go for a LP.  And then she had the nerve after telling me this is not MS and blowing me off, she asked if I wanted to go through her for the LP.  I don't trust her now, and she is too far anyway, so I said no, and I asked her for a recommedation for a neuro closer to my town up in reading pa.  She even told me that I didn't have ON after I have been getting treatment for it for the last 2months.  When I saw my Opthamalogist, I told him what she said and he said, yes you do have On, but the optic nerve isn't inflammed anymore, but you still have ON.  I told him that my eyes still bother me and he said that is normal with ON.  Plus I have lupus and chronic dry eye which caused be caused by lupus, which is usually caused by autoimmune diseases. I gave me a script for restasis.  Anyway, I'm bummed, whether this is MS or not I need a name.
My sister was DXEd with only 5% sx, ON,vertigo,1 lesion.  But she turned up with 1 positve band on LP.  I have 90% symp and I can't get dxed.  I only started the search 6 months ago, I can't imagine doing this for years.  My heart goes out to those who have. Anyway, I'll keep you posted!  Thanks so much!  Thank goodness we have this forum! Sandie

Hi Sandie,
My guess is the doctor is telling you that the lesion that is there should not be there - it is abnormal.

Yes, people do have brain lesions appear - usually later in life - but they should never be considered normal.  When one or more show up, especially depending on their location or symptoms, their cause should be further investigated.

I hope that helps - sorry you had to wait for an answer.

be well,
Lulu
