Long day...

We had a death in the family, and my hubby and I got in the car and drove 700 miles.

very stressful, had to find places for all the boys.

A couple of days ago, I started with my dreaded face pain.  I am sure being run down with pneomonia doesnt help, and it is making things worse.

During the drive today, face, ear, scalp all started.  very very bad.

Here is the question.  funeral is tomorrow.

You would think I would know this answer, but is there anything an er could do for me? Not sure if it woild be worth me going or not...
Thx,
michelle

I'm sorry too to hear about the death in the family.  This is sad news and making a 700 mile drive was definitely a physical challenge for you.  I'm glad you didn't have to go to the ER.  You never know what you'll get when you are in a strange town/state and often times you can work out the issue until you get home.

How are you feeling today?  MS just loves to mess things up at the most inopportune time, eh. I hope the drive home goes better.

Take good care of yourself.  Thinking of you.

I'm catching this late, but I am sorry for your loss. We all know that stress is terrible for MS. I actually have valium I can use if I get into a terrible situation like that...I haven't had to use it, but glad it's here. I send you a big hug :)

Thank u friends...

.making it through, father in law had some vicodin in the house, and sister in law did reiki throughout the service. ( not sure that helped, but was comforting )

Back to the house after 9 hours of funeral home, church, cemetary and dinner.  Glad to get my jammies back on.

Everyone was very grateful we made it out east.  Back to OH, leaving in the a.m.

Thanks again all,

Michelle

I am so sorry to hear about your family bereavement and especially when you are not well yourself. It sounds as if you should be tucked up in bed getting over pneumonia, but I am sure your family will appreciate the enormous effort you have made to be there for the funeral. Please look after yourself and I would echo the advice you have already been given and  hopefully have by now acted on.  Get well soon

Best wishes

I would definitely give the ER a try...  Perhaps giving your neuro a call would help to facilitate treatment.

I am truly sorry for your loss.

Michelle,
I am sorry to hear of the death of your family member. You are probably correct in that the pneumonia and stress most likely contributed to this TN uproar.

Yes, I would go to the ER. Lu's idea of calling your doc is good and would justify you being there. I know that decadron for 3 days by moth helps make my TN bearable. They can also give decadron IV which should give you more immediate relief and continue the rest by mouth to finish the course.

Lu is right seek help. In the meantime I'll try a "rain dance"

Gentle hugs,
Ren

Michelle, I'm sorry you had to make this trip, that is stressful enough and then to do it in pain must be miserable.

ER? I would give it a try. If you can tell them how your doctor in Cleveland would handle it that might help.  Ask them to call your doctor, since it's after hours have them call your doctor's answering service, to get the details on how to treat you.

You need tx now and not wait until you make the 700 mile drive home.  Please seek help.

gentle hugs,

L
