Let's get it started this week.........

Saying goodbye to January and welcoming our shortest month of the year midweek seems almost impossible.  Another month behind us but a new one coming up.  What do you have going on this week?  This is our weekly roundup of all the events you might like to share. So bring it on.........

I have a podiatrist appt on Friday -unfortuantely the bunion that I have tried to ignore, and then tried to treat, has turned almost crippling at times.  I am resigned that surgery is in my near future to correct the problem.   Work is crazy this entire month and I may be here a little less than usual, so if there is something in particular you want me to look t, do drop me a pm with the url.

So what about you?  What's going on this week?

I have lost track of time finishing two paintings to ship off.

I am training Grady.

Had my monthly MS Support meeting with the graduate MS PT students from Carolina dropping by last night.

Today I ride Clara. The weather is gorgeous. The plants are all in bloom they are so confused.

I go to the pain clinic and counseling tomorrow.

Michelle I can't imagine the pain you are in.

Beema good luck with surgery.

Speaking of dropping things. I  lovingly made myself this handmade toasta
and while taking it out of the microwave I dropped it square in the dogs water bucket. Polly really liked that toasta.

Just in time, too. I'm starting my crash ahead of my next Ty infusion (# 20).  I'll be SO ready!

Have a good week!

Busy week for me this week...

Had school today

Tuesday taking mom to the ortho to see if she can get the boot off her foot, then following that she has an appointment with her PCP to check her coumadin levels.

Wednesday I have school and after school I have and interview, following the interview I have a follow up with my neuro for my MRI results

Thursday taking my mom to cardiologist

Friday I am doing absolutely nothing, I think after this week I will need a day of nothing.

Saturday I go to Weight Watchers for my weigh in. After that I am not sure what I am going to do.

Sunday well it is Super bowl so I think I will be sitting around watching the commercials lol. Oh and fixing healthy snacks to eat during the game.

Everyone have a great week!!!

Last Friday I found out the appointment date for the MS specialist in Buffalo that my neuro is sending me to (it's Feb. 13th) so this week I need to contact my insurance to double check that they will cover the appointment, and I need to call the specialist to see if he is going to give me an MRI while I am there like my neuro wants him to.

I also have schoolwork to do, as always LOL.

Other than that, I'm still laying low and just trying to recover from this relapse. I'm feeling stronger every day, and I was very thankful that last night I did not have to take a sleep aid for the first time in almost a month. I still only got about 4-1/2 hours of broken sleep, but I'm encouraged to have been able to do it without help!

Lastly, I found out on Friday that the breeder we were hoping to get a puppy through has approved our application, so now I just need to be patient as we wait for a puppy. It could take upwards of a year, but because we are flexible on color and gender there is a chance we will get a puppy within the next few litters. This will be the first dog that we have had, so I'm super excited. We decided not to let the kids know until we actually go get the dog (though they have known that we will get a dog "some day"). The puppy will eventually be trained (by me) as a balance dog for me. It is a Newfoundland breed :-)

I hope everyone has a great week!

January is wrapping up with a good laugh at myself - dropped my phone in a cup of tea, don't ask...  funnier...  hubby saved it by putting it in a bowl of rice and placing it in a warm oven.  The funny part, we left to go to the movies and he thought the oven was off, nope, still on really low warm.  The screen on my optimus cracked from the heat.  BUT, it still works, even the touch options!   So, gotta see if I can do the low cost replacement for a new phone :)

And on the way to the movie, my truck blew a plug...  it's still at the movies :)   Thankfully we met the inlaws for the movie and they drove us home.  So need to have that towed!

I expect tomorrow will be the big bang ending for January....  work is being difficult and said if I don't return full time as of the 31st, I'm terminated.  It's a long story, already approved by insurance for LTD, so not stressed about it.  Doctors wanted me to change jobs because how stressful the place is.

My baby girl turned 21 in January...  I started Copax on the 6th...  so it's been an eventful month :)

February will see me doing electric shock therapy with a nerve conduction testing...  my first round of bloodwork to check on everything with starting copax and my formal checkup with the neuro on the 27th to end FEbruary :)

In between...  I'll have my 43rd birthday (wow, when did I get to be that age!!) and of course Valentines day, my first being married :)

hope everyone had a good January...  and keep warm in February :)

A typical work/school week for me, with injection training on Thursday evening. I'm so excited! I'm also going to check out the exercise video Shared Solutions sent me (thanks for reminding me about it, Lulu!), and I'll probably check out a tai chi video on Netflix.

Wishing everyone well,
Jane

I'm going to have a very long month.  My mind actually went blank for a minute...lol.  Ok, so here it goes Feb 1 I'm going to get an injection in my shoulder for pain.  Thursday I have Aqua therapy which I'm not sure if I'm going to go back.   Then, on the 7th I'm going to Pittsburgh to get an opinion from the department of neurology with any luck maybe they will have answers for me.  Let's see I know I'm getting ahead but, thinking out loud here.

Then on the 10th of the month I'm going to the pain clinic to see about the pain pump.  Then on the 13th I'm going to a Ent doctor to discuss my breathing/ swallowing problems that I'm having with food.

Ok, I think that it....  Oh, and I need to call Ot about my glove.

I'm really tired just thinking about all of that.  Wish me luck guys for the 7th who knows maybe I will have answers.  I'm not holding my breathe but u never know.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful week.   Lu, I hope u get that foot better soon.

Take care

Today is Marbles Day at the ballpark, in that I will find out how many I've lost! I'm meeting with the neuro-psychologist to discuss the results of last months cognitive function testing. I expect my marbles bag contains a relatively full compliment :-)

Yesterday I had my 3rd, completely uneventful Tysabri infusion.

Sleep  sleep-   Friday night is my sleep study,  this was suggested by the MSlogist after Neruo testing revealed working memory problems.

I being told if that is the cause and that may reverse it with a cpap.

God knows  I would love to sleep 4- 6 without   interruption .

Then just the wife and I to watch the Superbowl on Sunday- GO Giants !!

Take Care everyone

I am in AGONY with Trigeminal, Occipital and Glossophareangel neuralgia.  It is one of the worse ones I have had in a long time.  I am anxiously waiting for neuro to open today. to see if I can get the injections in my head.

My hubby is home today, so he can take me.  It is just excruciating.

Yesterday we went to see the new Sherlock Holmes movie. I thought it was better than the first.

I work all week (at least hopefully).  We're taking my manager that's worked there for almost 25 yrs out to lunch because he's leaving for another job.  We should be finding out soon whether we're going to be furloughed for maybe 8 wks or laid off.

I have both of my physical therapies - Wed & Thurs.

And Mon is my older brother's pretend cystoscopy - and last week was his pretend follow-up appt with his PA at his doctor's office to find out results for his labs. We've found out that he hasn't been going to any of his doctor's appt. He's so frustrating to us.
