Haha, yes Lulu it was fun... It has been months since I really got out there and enjoyed myself...If at any point in time I thought about what I was doing to myself it got totally lost in the fun...
I'm sure in a couple or three days I'll be OK again... I just want to thank all of you for your concern and comments... Ya'll are the bestest... lol..
I'll be praying,
Carol
I agree that some days it is sooo worth it but we sure do pay. I have learned water play is great but I also just spend time floating around with colorful tubes. This way I get the fun but not as much pain the next day. You know it will just knock you out for a week or so.
Sorry you are hurting. Maybe next time incorporate a little lazy "Sumana" into your swim...lol
I did something like this for Mothers Day... I went for a bike ride rofl WOW talk about PAIN for days haha Oh well, it was worth it at the time. I wanna go again but I know I'm going to pay so bad for it lol
I'm glad you had fun though :)
Aha! A woman after my own heart!
Today I went to physical therapy. I'm basically at my baseline, so to speak. I went there with a vengeance wanting to do everything and show off to my therapist what I really could do (Couldnt do the tandem walk but did the balance beam steps with her holding me up). I rode the bike, I did my pelvic tilts, I did my clam exercises, I did the squats, I did the side steps, etc.
I wanted to exercise and try to strengthen my muscles while I could because everytime I have a neurological relapse for three to 4 weeks, all I did was lay around due to fatigue and weakened more.
Well after PT today, I slept for 2.5 hours, my legs were quite stiff, walking like I had bilateral knee immobilizers on.
You're right, when it feels good, remember the end result after overdoing it. LOL.
I'm sure glad to hear that you had that momentary enjoyment of swimming and forgetting for the moment all of your limitations!
xxoo

I do this all the time. I try to do things I used to do easily and pay for it later.
I am sorry you are hurting. Sending nice thoughts your way.
Alex
Carol, every stroke was worth it though, wasn't it? It feels so good to be in the water and feel normal for a while.
You'll be better in a few days- in the meantime take it easy.
best, Lu
