My legs at nite just started feeling like 1000 lkb. tree trunks.. couldn't move turn lift..biggest problem was I have to use restroom at nite, and couldnt bend my knee;s to get there!  ..I go to dr. he gives me baclofen!   now i took my 10 mg when i went to bed...woke up to use restroom I was fine!!!  I thanked god for baclofen..and im not  religious!!  Hahaha
Then I woke up 9 1/2 hrs later (ugh!).. and now my legs are the way they were at nite, Im stiff getting up and can barely shiuffle my dam feet to go make coffee!  I can't take this...  Patience is not one of my virtues...  : /
I just started taking it last nite...  so maybe my body just has to get use to it?  or what?  I dont want to take it during the day...  I dont wanna sleep all day & nite!!
Any advice please?
thanks Mindy

let your doctor know, you probably need to be on it during the day also.  I take `10mg morning and noon and 20mg at night and can't imagine life without it, although I fought taking drugs at all in the beginning!  Laura has given you some very good advice.

How are you doing on the baclofen now?  I'm sort of surprised the doctor went with just one 10mg at night for you.  It takes a while for baclofen to get into your central nervous system and work - but it also is a drug that needs to be consistently present to work right and it only lasts for about 4-6 hours in our system.  That is why most of us take baclofen 4 times a day.

The sleepiness gets better as your body adjusts to the drug - you might want to talk to your doctor about increasing your baclofen dosing until you find a combination that fits your body best.  It's really a big experiment to get it in the right balance.

Sorry for your problems! I take Baclofen too. I'm prescribed  1-2 tablets(10mg) four times a day. Currently, I take 4 a day. The sleepiness will probably go away once you get used to them. Good luck and I'm glad it seems to help with the stiffness!
