Hi Julie,
If you are reading this or having them read to you, I am thinking of you, what an ordeal to go through and you are still in great spirits, what an inspiration.
I hope that hubby of yours is home when you come out of hospital or that you have a good network of family and friends to support you, the MS exacerbation is enough, let alone surgery for your gallbladder as well.
Thinking of you, I hope you are home soon,
Hugs,
Udkas.
Lulu and Ren thank you for the updates
Oh, my, the things I miss when I'm not on the forum often enough! I wish I could fly over and help with the escape!
I always knew Julie was a rare individual; it stands to reason that she passed it on to her children, lol. Seriously, I think she's a wonderful person, and hope she recovery goes smoothly.
Lulu and Ren, thanks for the updates and how helpful and supportive you are.
PD, I have a screw in a jar on top of my entertainment center that was removed from my knee when they re-reconstructed the ACL.
Julie, sending you hugs and prayers, my friend.
Kathy
Just bumping so you can see that Julie's working on getting at home help when they release her, or she escapes, which ever comes first, lol.
Ren
PD - it used to be you could request those souvenirs from surgery- tonsils, appendix, gall stones, etc, in a jar of formaldehyde .... but alas, all the biohazard rules now prohibit us from bringing them home! LOL
-L
Thanks for the updates!
Julie....I hope your recovery goes quickly and you meet your release day goal! Good luck! But, don't push yourself too hard, rest and recover!

No joke, Lu; Dad kept a couple of his biggest gallstones in a little jar in his desk drawer at work. Yeah, I know; it was disgusting.
New Julie update. I spoke with Julie earlier today and she sounds like she is in good spirits minus the May 20th release date. I made a call to her local NMSS chapter and they are going to help her set-up some arrangements to make her transition to home a little easier.
As for her escape date...she 's aiming for one week , possibly 10 days. She knows that she has some PT to do to strengthen her right leg before she can be released. She is NOT happy with the 2 week date set by her docs so be on the look out for an escaped patient if they don't release her when she feels she's ready, lol.
She sends her best to each one of you.
Ren
As always Thanks for the update :)
I know she can not wait to get out of there and get some REAL food too...Lol
Can't wait to hear from her.......

It was like a present to the researchers. Julie and her children have been studied by the NIH for some rare genetic combinations, which they haven't seen (or are rarely seen) before. Having the GB allows them to do all sorts of testing because they actually have a part of Julie's body, which ordinarily would not happen until an autopsy. I hope that makes sense.
Thanks for the update, i'm currious as to why they were giddy at getting their hands on her gallbladder, was it already tied in a neat little bow?
Hopefully she will soon be better and she can start to get her leg back, fingers crossed that this relapse ends soon.
Cheers.....JJ
