Hi there,

Welcome to the MS forum. Diabetes can cause so many problems, including the potty issues and confusion you mention. Best advice I can give is to get a good Dr. who will help you get it under control.

Be well,
Shell

Hi Pat,
Have you been diagnosed with diabetes and under the care of a doctor for this?  Shell is right about diabetes causing all of these symptoms.

Get your sugar under control and see what happens to the symptoms.  If they linger, then ask to be seen by a neurologist for more testing.

my best,
Lulu

Sorry you ended up in the hospital.  Under 24hrs has got to be a record breaker dx on this forum. If it were me, I'd make sure all mimics were ruled out before agreeing to treat for MS.  And, there are many mimics.

What happenend?

Wow!  Did they give you an IV solumedrol treatment to get you moving?  Did you pick a DMD or are you still in the diagnosing process?  We'll be happy to talk to you about both, but if in the search box you type the drug name you will find tons of information.  We have kicked copaxone around a lot - that's my drug.  Avonex is what Quix is on.  All the drugs do basically the same thing, its just mainly a matter of personal preference of injection type, frequency and side effects you are willing to endure.

I hope you will stay in touch,
Lulu

suggested dmd is copaxone. any  suggestions are welcome, just getting back to work and with my baby to get things back to normal. thanks

we have had lots of conversations about the dmd's here - if you enter the name in the search box it will bring up tons.  I am on copaxone, and have been for 10 months.  Others here are on the different drugs.  Each of the four have esentially the same results, just different schedules for injections and very different side effects.  Good luck with the decision making.

wishing you well,
Lulu
