Muscle fatigue?

I have been out spraying the weeds.  Now the muscles that are used to pump the sprayerson't want to function well.  Raising and lowering my wrist is sluggish.  Is this my MS?  Is something elso going on?  When this happend last summer, it was 97 degrees.  I thought it was the heat.  it is 65today.  HELP!

Last summer I was trying to cut my grass, work in my flowers, do some weed eating (I positively will not allow my honey anywhere near my flowers with a weedeater) this was something I always did.  I have always been more content with physical labor than with being a girlie girl. (Not knocking girlie girls, I can be one of those too) Anyways, that is what sent me to the doctor the first time.  I was exhausted, my muscles ached, everytime I got hot I got weak and my skin would itch.  I had never had those kind of problems to that extent before.

When I got to the appt they discovered I was severely anemic.  After taking the iron supplements and eating much better I feel much better in terms of shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, etc but the weakness has never gone away and has only gotten worse.  Maybe pushing myself through episodes last summer (I thought I was just out of shape) and overheating myself time and time again has caused permanent nerve damage.  I would get so hot I would feel like I was going to pass out and I would just sit down in the yard.  The specter of MS had not arisen at that time.  I didn't know any better but I do now.  So though it may be something else my advice is to be careful overdoing it until you get some answers.

Lu,

Perhaps.  I have lost some grip strength in my right hand.  That has been going on for a while.  WWhen I was teaching, I usedto drop the chalk all of the time.  I figure that it is the same muscles.  I wonder what king of thing I can do while at the gym to work on it.

Opie,
As we always try to remind eveyone, stay open to all the possibilities.  Is it possible that you haven't used those arm muscels in a while and just over used them and it has nothing to do with MS?  I was in the gym yesterday and worked with hand weights just 2 pounds heavier, and man do I ever feel it today  :-)

Yep.  This summer, it was from using the weed wacker.  I have also had trouble bowling.  My ball is only 8.5 lbs.  My legs are fine, it is just my arme, and the right is definately worse.

Hi Opie.  I haven't been diagnosed, but I do notice that anything I do that is repetitive (even walking), tends to turn my muscles into wet noodles...especially my wrist/ankles.  I can't carry anything very heavy for very far....my wrists give out and I drop it.  I've also noticed that some days are much worse than others.  Is your's versatile like that?
