Nausea?

Hello!  I'm going on 2 weeks of extreme nausea and definitely  not pregnant!  It's pretty much constant, I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night feeling sick to my stomach and always upon waking, so it can't be attributed to my balance problems.  My stomach will tell me I'm hungry, but the thought of food makes me turn green.

I'm not on any medications, still undiagnosed, just wondering if anyone else has had this symptom that they couldn't track back to something else.

Seriously starting to go batty with all of these symptoms and sensations!

Thanks!

I have chemo nausea and vomiting. I learned a neat trick if you feel like vomiting breath in a cotton ball of rubbing alcohol. I just sniff from the bottle.

Thanks all for the response!  Sorry to hear you deal with it too and that you can pinpoint why you are experiencing it.

Still waiting to see my Internal Med doctor, can't get in until the 15th of June...and now in addition to the nausea, I've been burping out of the blue throughout the day.  I am not a burper!  My boys are sure getting a kick out of it though!

Not sure how a body can be revolting against itself in so many ways so quickly!

Unfortunately nausea is one of the things that happens when I'm about to get sick again.  When it arrives I know that within a few days 'something' is going to happen.  :-(

I would seek a GP to make sure it is not something besides MS. Some people with MS do have gastroparesis.

Thank you JJ for your response.  I've been stressed for a year now, so for it to just show up now would be a bit strange.  Not really eating too much, so nothing to digest or give me heartburn.  Perhaps I should start 'indulging", then at least I could blame some of these symptoms on a "good time". ;-)  Looks like another co-pay is in my near future.

Hey babe,

I don't deal with this personally but i know a few people who do, though not all have had the same reason for it..

"The causes of night nausea are often the same as those that contribute to nausea during the day. Some of the most common causes of nighttime nausea are stress, morning sickness, medication side effects, and viral or bacterial infections. An individual may also experience night nausea because of heartburn or indigestion. In some cases, a person may also feel nauseous during the night because he has overindulged in an alcoholic beverage. Though night nausea may not be cause for alarm, a person with persistent nausea may do well to seek advice from a doctor."

Thought it might spark a few ideas...

Cheers........JJ
