I have actually had every thyriod test imaginable even to check for autoimmune thyriod. i have also been checked for b12 deficiencies anemias and vitamin d deficiency.all tests have been normal. no metabolic abnormalties.  I have also had positive ana's with no expplaination, elevate c reactive protein and was sent for a cardiac work up. I have now lost all sensation in my hands . can not feel warmth or cold. my legs are unable to even lift to walk up stairs. people stare when i walk because it looks like my legs are dragging. i am so fatigued it is inbelievable. i have even gone to an infectious disease doctor. my one eye is like a curtain pulled down and the other no peripheral vision.

Jen is right. Sorry to suggest another doctor, but have you been to an endocrinologist? This sounds metabolic.

It sounds like a possible thyroid imbalance or B12 deficiency... worth checking out!

Hi Alb and welcome to the MS forum at MedHelp - this is a great community of very smart medical consumers who may have suggestions for you.  Just remember none of us are here as doctors and we're just sharing opinions and not fact.

How frustrating for you to have this going on for 3+ years and getting nowhere closer to know the cause. There are so many diseases out there that mimic MS, and with all the doctors you have seen I would imagine they have been checked.

On the upper right side of this page is a yellow icon for our Health Pages - if you click there you will find detaild information about the MS mimics/

Some of your symptoms sound like they could be MS but then again they could be other things.  The nightsweats don't fit the usual pattern, but I'm learning that there is nothing usual about MS. There have to be over 1,000 symptoms.

Please don't let your doctors dismiss you with no answers.  Keep pushing to find the right one or the right test that will tell you what is going on in your body.  Not to discourage you but there are people here who experienced being in Limbo over 10 years before they finally got a diagnosis.

Again, welcome here.  I hope you will stick around and learn more about MS and let us help you on  this journey.

my best,
Lulu
