Ohio Residents?

After yet another person here on this forum just posted, I am very curious to know.

Are you from Ohio??  I have "heard" it is the highest ranked state with MS, so I would like to see how it is on our forum.

Thanks,
Michelle

Thanks to everyone for their votes.  Well, it seems like plenty of us from the Buckeye state are here. I hope in our lifetime they figure out the "cause" of MS, and see what correlates for us.

I didn't vote because I don't currently live in Ohio.  But...I just moved away from there DUE TO MS SYMPTOMS.  I am in limboland still.  I am now living with my mother in California.  I lived in Ohio for 10 years prior to moving here.

Speaking of Ohio - I will be in southwest Columbus on Wednesday for an 11 AM appt and have my lunch hour unplanned for now (unless I get a recall for an MRI today or tomorrow!).  Anyone interested in trying to rendezvous?  Drop me a note ...

There was an article linked from somebody here recently pointing to the incidence rate being affected by the amount of sunlight the mother received in a particular trimester (last, maybe?  Somebody with a better memory than mine can please chime in here).

Googled "Incidence of Multiple Sclerosis by State" & came up with some interesting stuff.   An outfit calling itself SUNARC included a map of the states, but the subjects were white males, and it said something about either their age or place of residence (anybody using Aricept here?  PM me.) prior to enlistment.  Map had an abbreviation on it suggesting WW2 era.

Right smack dab in the middle of the state, myself.  Born & raised mostly in Columbus, & never lived more than about 50 miles from Broad & High Streets.  In fact, my church is kinda near Centerburg, which is named that for a reason.  Still in limbo, though, so we may never know whether or not that has had any effect.

Hey, I've been to Niagara Falls, to Florida, and to Tuscarawas County.  think that means anything?  Nah, I didn't think so either! ;>D

Curious, daisy, how old are you now?  I'd think that 22 years up there in God's country would qualify you to vote in this poll.  Any objections?  Michelle, it's your poll; whaddaya think?

I couldn't vote because I live in florida now....but grew up in Tuscarawas County, Ohio for the first 22 years of my life. I am dx with MS. Most of my family is still in Ohio and I visit once or twice a year.
I do believe it is the first 15 years that they look at for with MS so I fit into that catagory.

I have lived in Ohio since 1983, but I was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY.  Wonder if either location played a part?  I was diagnosed in Feb. 2008.

I was just thinking the other day, on how many Ohioans were on here. This state must be on the perfect parallel for developing MS or MS mimics.

I'm not officially DX, but my GP is already putting it in writing that I have MS. If that has any meaning or not IDK. I still consider myself as a limbolander until a neuro diagnosis me.

It does seem rather strange to have all of us Buckeyes here, doesn't it?  you can look at all the Ohioans here  too - there are a bunch.
