In my original Dx, I was told I have Paraparesis. When I stand I have this overwhelming sense to stretch all my muscles but, most especially the legs. Even when sitting, I have that feeling. I was not told I have RRMS or PPMS. Actually, my Dr. doesn't want to treat my MS, however, I am going to push for treatment. What meds helps this problem? Thanks!
I don't know if I'd call it an urgeUrge incontinence to stretch my legs - it's as if my body forces itself to straighten out involuntarily. It's especially bad in my legs, but it happens in my torso, too. I also get a rhythmic jerk in my right leg - I try to move it, and it just jerks back and forth. Mine happens most often in the morning, or when I've been sitting down for a while.
Typically myoclonusRestless leg syndrome is treated with Clonazepam. I also smoke, but it doesn't do anything for the myoclonus - it's mostly good for spasms and paresthesia.
