This is a good idea. I think the ability to choose multiple options would help with a lot of polls. Likert scales, like Ess suggests, or the ability to rank options in some way would be helpful in some situations.

Don't really matter but would be more convienent for those of us need the assistance with different things and my is concentration.

I'd like that feature a lot. But it's true that a poll involves voting, which usually means only one. What we want is more of a survey, or even Likert scales where we could rate how strongly we feel about a given issue.
If we had a really big response, it could be run through SPSS or SAS (although that would involve tedious keying, since there's no way to automate that process here). But for a relatively small sampling, it shouldn't be a lot of work to do some quicko data analysis.

One of the key advantages of this type of web site is to utilize polls, but it cannot be effective w/o multiple responses. Other newsgroups always seem to allow multiple responses and are a bit more user friendly.
