Applying for Social Security Disability Insurance - SSDI

the cover story in the current MSQR - Multiple Sclerosis Quarterly Review - is entitled "Preparing Successful Applications for Social Security Disability Insurance.

You can get this magazine free when you register with NARCOMS which we all encourage you to do.  NARCOMS is striving to build a huge database from which to 1) know how many people in the US have MS, 2) Do large sample survey studies, 3) disseminate accurate information, 4) advocate effectively on our behalf.

I looked at this for a different post and could not find a link online to this publication.  I believe you have to get it by the hard copy.  Sign up for NARCOMS and you will get this magazine for free.

didn't know about that. i did apply. had a pysch consult. didn't need a consult for the neuro stuff - i guess the records from the va and other docs helped with that.

no, they called and asked if i had any other paperwork due to what the va sent them was not helpful. gee, can't imagine that. so i sent them the va paperwork they didn't send and from non-va doctors.

i was only able to wear my happy face for a few hours, then i kinda lost it. so my acting is the reverse kind - that is i act like a feel good when i don't when i'm out and about. i can't do that for very long. guess the doctor at the exam saw that.

i sure could use the help though

It also has instructions for SSI, which is great if you're not really on full disability, but can only work part time.
