Reporting in

I now I said I would check in more often, but I need a few more days I think. I will have the dye test done on the pump Tuesday and tomorrow I have to try and get the cath changed. The bladder is in a tight knot and won't relax, it hurts like the dickens. But I am not going to complain, because I know it could be worse. I even missed communion this morning. That is something I try not to do if I can help it.
My daughter Cheri is doing OK, her breast is still painful, so I hope she goes back to the Dr. It's so hard not to worry when it's one of your kids.
I hope this finds all of you rested up after a nice weekend, know that all o you are always in my thoughts and daily prayers. May each of you have a wonderful week, and I'll be sure to let you know how the test goes, and what we found out. Thanks for all your kind thoughts and prayers, it helps so much just knowing all of you are out there, so don't worry, I am in good hands.
Take care of yourselves and know that you are love and cared about so much..{{{{~!~}}}

Hi DJ,
That is an interesting decision to have the pump removed - you will have to tell me sometime how you came to that one and not having it replumbed. Has a surgery date been set yet?  I know you will keep us informed one way or antoher.

Lots of hugs to you friend, Lu

I'm so sorry you got such bad news.  Are you sure removing it is the right decision?  I don't know a lot about how they workm but seems like it would be very convenient.........if it worked! It's awful to be in such pain all of the time. I hope your bladder is doing better . Say that fast 3 times!  LOL. Glad your daughter is doing okay, but I agree she should be checked by her doc. Anyway, I'm a late night person too, so just wanted to say hi, and hang in there. God will not let you down.

Hugs & Prayers
Maggie

Well I had the dye test, the results were awful in many ways. the worse news is that the line from the pump to my spine disconnected from the spine, so the morphine is not going anywhere except into a pool beside the spine. The Dr. said that my body is absorbing it, but that's why I have been needing more oral morphine to address the bone pain.
I have decide to have the pump removed rather than reconnect it. I am sure that after all these years there are several ways of getting the needed morphine besides the pump and/or oral morph.
Suggestions are welcomed at this point.
Thank all of you so much for your kindness and support. Those of you who have said prayers, please continue praying...
I'll keep all of you up dated... and I check in with each of you in a few days... I hope all of you are doing OK...

You take the time you need.  I'll say extra prayers for your bladder to back the heck off already, durrnint!

Glad to hear Cheri is making it through.  I know how much you worry and feel her pain too.

Hope your pump gets fixed up tomorrow.
