Update on Grannyhotwheels surgery

Mom's surgery went great according to the surgeon.  It lasted around 5 hours and she was in recovery for about 1 1/2 hours.  When she got back to her room she was in quite a bit of pain.  After about 2 hours they upped her pain medicine and dad said she was resting comfortably.  They are going to try and get her up tomorrow (today) sometime and see how that goes.  She won't be able to eat or drink anything for about 3 or 4 days because of the surgery dealing with the small intestine.  They want to give it a chance to heal up some before things start to pass through it.  Thank you for all your prayers...they are much appreciated and still very much needed as it's going to be a long recovery for her.

Now the hard part - trying to keep her and her hotwheels quiet while she heals.  Thanks for the update - this is good news.

I'm so glad to finally see this.  I've had grannyhotwheels in my thoughts often.  Looked for an update last night even though I'm sure you are tired and need to center on Mom first.  Appreciate you keeping us in the loop when time and net access are hard to come by.
