Hello My nero is currently testing me for ms

So my questions r because I've been sick 4 so long and I just got a new symptom, which I am really hating.

Chronic Low Grade Fever
Sternoidmastioid Problems- which we found that was causing my dizzness, head pressure, and neck pain
So Tired Some Days
Nausea
Feeling Just Plain ILL
Tingling, Burning, numbness, Pain in my legs from the knees down (ankles and knees hurt the worst)
Tingling, Burning, numbness, Pain in my arms from the elbows down
I cannot stand the heat expecially hot humid head and direct sun for more than a little while.
Oh and muscle spasms
I'm honestly starting to get scared since I've had these tingling legs and arms because they haven't let up since i had the stomach flu.
THANKS

RF is Rheumatoid Factor and ESR has to do with your sedimentation rate of your blood, which are both markers for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Arthritis.  If you had a positive ANA and an elevated ESR or RF, you would be headed to a Rheumatologist.

Hello,

My wbc is alway good, everthing comes back good. Which is good but annoying. They did check my ana but I'm not sure what RF and ESR are. So I don't know about those test. As for my low grade temp. At first it was all day except when I layed down, that was in the beginning now it is up and down all day and it seems like I don't have it for a wk or two then it comes back every month.

As far as it goes to being bitten by a tick. Yes I have a few times, never any rash that I have noticed though. I have had 2 lyme test.

I'm sorry to hear what you have been going through at least here we can all share our storys and hope to get well together. Take Care

Candice

Hi there!!!!  Welcome to the best ever forum in cyberland!!!!  Okay, I am concerned that you have been having a low grade fever now for a year.  I know you said that they have done a lot of blood work but have they checked your ESR level or RF or ANA?  How was your white blood cell count?

Fibro can definately explain a lot of muscle aches but it cannot cause low grade fevers.  I have been having fevers too for a very long time and I had a bone marrow biopsy last week.  They can check for a lot of things in your bone marrow, any kind of leukemia, bone marrow disorders, they can even do genetic mapping and see if you have a chromosomal defect.  A lot of different things led me to have the biopsy done, mainly me having an elevated WBC for over a year now and a dramatic drop in my lymphocytes.

Is your fever better any part of the day or is it constantly a temp?  Are you having any rashes?  Have you been bitten by a tick?  I ask a lot of questions and I'm sorry for that.  Again, welcome to a really great place!!!

No I am new My neuro said that he is testin me for Ms and Fibro. So I'm hoping and praying for fibro but I would like to find more info on Ms incase that is my outcome, which by the way scares the pants off me. ha

My symptoms have been going on for about a yr, I haven't always had all these symptoms. It actually all started with labyrinthitis and then sinus and then sinus surgery and from then on I just got horribly ill. I have old forums that I started off in the sinus area but I really haven't had much probs with that and like i said I now know why I was so dizzy and had so much darn pressure in my head. The unbalance feeling is still there sometimes and sometimes I feel like I'm watching the world through someone elses eyes but it depends on how I treat my neck that day.

And the low grade fever I have had for a yr, the muscle spasms I have had for 6 yrs, and the tingling in my legs well I just got that like the in June of this yr after the stomach flu my hands and feet locked up and i couldn't move them and ever since then they have been gradually getting worse.

Thanku for reply to my post I really appreciate it.

Do you have any idea if the neurologist is going to schedule a Lumbar Puncture?  I believe that would be the next step if he is still concerned about MS.  Regardless of whether or not there are any lesions that show up on the MRI, you could still have MS and it would normally show on an LP and the lesions may show up later on a new MRI.

Like I said, you should read up on some of the info in the health pages because it is important that you educate yourself so you have the ammunition to work with.

Lots of Hugs,

Rena

Hi candi and Welcome to the MS Forum!  I am so sorry to hear of all the problems you are having and at such a young age too!  I believe that you have come to the right place though as there are a great bunch of people here and they are all very helpful when it comes to digging for answers.  While none of us are doctors and we can't make any diagnosis of any sort, we can help you try to find some answers to the cause of your symptoms ok?

First of all, have you had any testing done by your neurologist yet and if so, what tests have you had and what are the results?  Have you had a full neurological physical exam?

Up in the right hand corner of this page you will see "HEALTH PAGES" and you will find a whole plethora of information on what MS is, how it is diagnosed, what some of the symptoms are, how it is treated etc., etc.  I think if you have a look at that for starters you will be arming yourself with some very valuable  information that you can use for ammunition in your journey to find a diagnosis.  One of the subjects on the health page is called "My family doctor thinks I may have MS...What do I do now?...or something close to that...but I think you should read that for starters ok?  Then if you have more questions, come back and we will do for you what we can ok?

As I said before we have a great group of people here...some that have a diagnosis, some that are in what we call limbo land which is in between diagnoses, and those that thought they might have MS but were diagnosed with something else and have just stayed around because they have made great friends here and have a lot of support.  We are here 24/7 and if you need to rant, rave, laugh or cry we will be here for you!

Lots of Hugs,

I was wondering what kind of test has the neurologist ran on you, and what were the results?  How long have these symptoms been going on?  Is the Neurologist considering any other diagnosis other than MS?   Just some questions to help us better understand your situation so maybe we will be able to advise you in which direction to go with this!

I don't think I have seen you on the forum before!  Are you new here?  If so, Welcome, and I hope you will find information here that will help you!!!!!!!
